Most jurisdictions treat marriage and living together the same. Assets you build together are divided evenly. Child support is a big factor. Your woman wants a wedding because of her love for you. She is not thinking of divorce statistics.

More men than women are murdered. Men are generally more at risk than women in almost every category. Dating is one of those exceotions. Both should be taking precautions. Stop generalizing and labeling me misandristic.

Sorry guys. I get the anger we feel but a guy on a bad date could end up with herpes: a woman could end up dead. She may have chosen the wrong way to feel safe but that does not make her wrong. If it were me, I would tell her no second date unless she stopped talking to all other guys and I want full rein in checking her out. We all need to feel safe and checking someone out should always be encouraged.

Sucks . HR overreacted. Being with a company for 9 months isn't nearly enough time to establish a reputation. I would also suggest letting a new hire acclimate to her new job and coworkers before hitting on her. In that regard, HR may have done what they had to do.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/articles/homicideinenglandandwales/yearendingmarch2020 This link , 2020 stats showing the rate of murder for men is 17 per million of population and women at 6 per million. Men are murdered at three times the rate of women. And yet women should still get priority? WTF is wrong with this picture?

I am sorry for the shit thrown on you .I am wondering if you could give them your story, then ask for their opinion. The question as posed, could be misconstrued as pot stirring. Especially if the mods are in recovery of some type. Might be a way in to show them men hurt too.

This is tough call for me. The best course of action was for him to walk away. She was unstable, angry, unreasonable. We back off from those people. We do not make it worse.

Would they be responding the same way if it was a husband doing this or would they call him sweet and loving for doing so much to look after his family?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
