I live in a big ass metro area in the mid Atlantic and it ain’t any better here. Men are way more educated but have Peter Pan syndrome. The dating pool sucks in different ways.

I dated a chef and he made me a meal from stolen work supplies AND tried to take advantage of me. I was very stupid back then.

Her parents have fed her ego so much (not that she isn’t great, she’s a strong confident queen and I’d prefer a woman have an ego than a man) as can sometimes happen by doting parents that she truly does believe she walks on water. It was nice to see her level up and be less childish. I think out of all the couples they were the least necessary on this show. April was a hot mess with narcissistic tendencies as was Colby. These were two narcissists learning new ways to trap their lovers. Unfortun…

Has mental health problems, even if seeing a therapist and medicated (would you trust he will ALWAYS take his Bipolar medication??). Read the book How to Spot a Dangerous Man by Sandra Brown. Fantastic book! Is not in good physical shape. Logical reason - if he won’t put effort on himself, why would he put in the effort for you, let alone a child? Is a bad cook. He needs to be able to procure a child food. Has incompatible job/career (such as a traveling businessman, military, police officer, et…

In my personal opinion, lying about yourself and dumbing yourself down to this extent is much too emotionally taxing for a NVM/LVM. Lying instead of setting boundaries (even simply saying “no”) is not HV behavior. We would be quick to drop a guy for lying about any of this, so why don’t we hold ourselves to that standard? I dated men without cooking for them. They cooked for me, took me out to dinner, picked me up, etc. all while not having to lie about how amazing of a cook I was or that I was …

Male, dreading turning 30. Lie about my height online, and to your face. Also lie about my income. I also will lie about wanting the same things you want, on a Christian app that says as much. My bathroom and room will disgust you. The sink in my kitchen smells worse than death. I will pick you up and take you to dinner, even pay for everything, but I will claim misremembering things due to my sleep problems when I forget to buy you flowers on V Day, despite watching the news religiously, Instag…

My bf does the whole not telling me his problems because he doesn’t want to burden me. Sometimes I feel like there isn’t enough emotional connection but perhaps I am just not used to how it should be. He does indeed “go out and get it done” if he needs something/has a problem. But I am definitely now going to pay more attention and make sure it’s not him lying/covering up his failures.

A HVM knows there is more to a relationship than just sex. If he is ruled by his dick, he will move on. I’ve dated non-religious and religious LVM who were willing to wait, and I never had sex with them; certainly HVM would be willing to wait. I am currently in a relationship with a man who so far has shown to be a HVM, but we are both religious and abstinent. His actions are clear that he is serious about respecting me and my body. He has never touched me inappropriately and even opens and clos…

This applies to American culture only, as I am American. As long as you date someone who was born in the US, or grew up here, and embraces American culture and is moderate or liberal, there’s a good chance he may not have inherited the patriarchal bullshit. Pay attention to his language. Men tell on themselves so easily. I listen to what they say. I am conservative, so often I say this and they almost immediately tell on themselves. Ask them how their parents handled the household. Listen to his…

Some are worth rescuing. But beware, if you present Info, they may reject it in hopes of “it might work out” and “struggle love” and instead dig their heels in and cling onto their cheating NVM scrotes. I am hoping Tik tok gets more women to raise their standards. I raised them after I was engaged to a man who started drinking too much and I decided I didn’t want to settle in any way shape or form anymore.

This describes my ex to a fucking T! He also had issues with compulsive lying, having fantastical things happening to him daily or weekly on why he couldn’t keep his promises.

When they’re sick, or emotional, they disappear or they “need time to be alone” and you’re left distraught for days or maybe even weeks. They can’t handle the emotional effects of a relationship. They won’t have many if any past serious or long relationships. They won’t have many friends. They will chase you more when they feel they are losing you, and when you chase them, they’ll run as well. It might take a while but usually the dopamine jump will wear off and you’ll see the behaviors more rea…

Lurking men, this is why we vet and we have high standards. Anyone would love this. But many women would do what this man does for his girlfriend. It’s just not a lot of men would do it for their girlfriends/even wives. If you can backup your love with actions, above and beyond what is expected, why would anyone want to ever go without that? The right and healthy person would reciprocate, and you’d have a happy life together. End rant. So happy for you OP. This is the content I crave for!

This is one of the best posts I’ve seen on here. It sheds light on why my ex was obsessed with knowing how much more I was making. He wanted a 50/50 marriage, or so he said, but clearly he resented that I made more than him with his off comments.

You shall know them by their fruits, yes! I often correct atheists when they say "everyone is a child of God" which is false. Though Jesus would want all of us to be so forgiving we would never need divorce, so also we would all need to be so loving that it would never be an issue in the first place.
