I don't agree (or find it very unlikely) that almost EVERY murder/torture is awarded the death penalty. Can be wrong, but find it very unlikely. I'm no expert, so I won't comment much on it. Would like to have more info on that, if anyone knows what they're talking about (I hope it's not just Trump facts, I expect real facts like an adult).

I competently agree with everything you said. I agree that maybe the sentence was lenient. But ate we going to determine, after the sentence is given and appealed, that sentences are wrong? We wouldn't stop making justice by our one hands. That's what I'm saying. I don't comment on the merit of her words (apparently she has no merit), just that someone who passes the justice system deserves to be treated as clear of that wrongdoing. I don't think she should be treated specially. From a criminal standpoint, only. One that served time and has paid what she owes to society. If the penalty was too lenient, it's not for us to say. But everyone cleans their record when they pay it, in my point of view. Hard to act that way (like hiring an ex convict after a long prison sentence), but it's the only way to give some meaning to the justice system.

This is my opinion: she committed a crime. She spent 27 years in prison because of it. Her repayment to society is done, imho. That's the meaning of prison, fines, and whatever measures the justice system finds appropriate. More: she should be considered a free woman but she's talking from the point of view of a previously incarcerated woman. Honestly (and although I am a man who fully supports MenRights) I think she shouldn't be the target of any hate or prejudice from us.
