I didn't come here today looking for amazing copy pasta, yet you certainly delivered. See you around, chef.

Wow. Your daughters sound very fortunate to have the dad who rants about female hypo-agency on Reddit.

I use dermalogica daily micro, but only a couple times a week since I have extremely sensitive skin

I wouldn't call it a mere definitional dispute. It's more like a fundamental misunderstanding of reality. Take this for example: an otherwise good person who themselves has bad taste in partners "Good" is irrelevant. Goodness alone does not make a person ready or capable of healthy relationships. That is the fundamental problem I have seen in this thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/22 06:02 PM
1

Absolutely. I think some of the toxic behaviors that tend to get overlooked are enabling addiction/unhealthy behavior and keeping secrets in order to "protect" the other person. It is 100% possible for kind, well-intentioned people to create the tension and negativity you are referring to. Good intentions are not enough to make a relationship healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/22 05:55 PM

I think there's a misunderstanding on here about what "toxic" means. Toxic =/= "shitty unpleasant person." Life isn't a fucking kindergarten book, there are nuances and shades to people. A person can be generally nice and friendly but also a toxic friend or partner. Codependency is a common form of this.

I used to think so until reading so many depressing ass birthday stories on Reddit made me realize I don't have anything to complain about.

I was the opposite of you, close friends with a lot of different individuals but never really wanted to be in an actual friend "group." Kind of burned out on that in high school. It's interesting though because I feel like by not committing to any one group I was able to socialize far more in undergrad than in high school.

Interestingly enough all of the Mech E guys I've known have been really sweet, down to earth people. The insufferable jerkasses seem to be migrating to a certain increasingly popular STEM field that shall not be named.

There is plenty of validation to be had without makeup as long as you're keeping your skin healthy, clean, and moisturized and grooming your brows and lashes. It's weird how many people think I have makeup or a filter on when in reality I've just gotten better about exfoliating on a regular basis.

I think the law was just written poorly. That would not be a "just" that's "the poor writing of this law resulted in inflicting further trauma on an already grieving couple." I believe in the reproductive ethics of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is not writing legislation in this majority Protestant country.

Iirc the SC ruling will allow the states to decide the laws on abortion, not ban outright. But we've already had a taste of the direction each state will go in. The logical conclusion after "our state requires you to be given pamphlet begging you to not kill your already dead child you absolutely wanted" is "removing the dead child you absolutely wanted is potentially illegal."

I'm not having sex at all until marriage so no. The abortion issue that affects my personal life in any way are the hazy gray areas of how "abortion" is defined. For example, Catholics have a very specific definition of it. Abortion is intentionally, directly harming the fetus. Saving the mother's life, and the fetus dying as a result, is not considered an abortion. There was actually an entire debate on a Catholic subreddit where users incorrectly assumed that a man's wife wasn't allowed to hav…

Wouldn't call myself fluent but native speakers who may or may not be too polite to shit on me say my conversational Japanese is pretty good. I do have an odd tendency to switch back and forth between casual and formal style depending entirely on what grammar structures I can recall at any given moment. Edit: Sorry I'm not well-versed in how to make passes at people in this language. Or in my own for that matter.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/22 05:42 PM

One of the worst things about it imo is the part where you're unilaterally making decisions about your partner's sexual health. There's a reason "get tested for STD's" is one of the first pieces of advice for a person who just found out their partner cheated. Had that person known and consented to you seeing other people they may have requested certain precautions and boundaries, or started taking certain precautions themselves like getting tested more frequently. By cheating you are taking away…

That's what people do when they're emotional, make accusations. Don't respond to people when they're very clearly upset and speaking from their asses, guys have this tendency to try to jump in and defend their actions immediately and most of the time only succeed at digging a deeper hole.

I am now convinced that "female nature" is code for "I refuse to acknowledge my mommy issues and will therefore pretend that all women are like the toxic ones I willingly choose to reproduce with"
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 09:53 PM

I talked about this on the thread. Out of all of the younger guys I know of who were into casual flings with older women one of the most common reasons cited was not having to use a condom.

It overwhelmingly reads like quasi-tradcon secular men bitching about secular women. Most of the conservatives have our own spaces to retreat to where we don't have to deal with any of this shit. Having that space makes interacting with and having patience with the secular world much easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 06:55 PM

Okay that's it. This is somebody's gross humiliation fanfic, not an actual thing that happened.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 05:05 PM

But I guess maybe it’s something to do with my Asian upbringing. My Asian friends constantly talk about how important food is in their family and how much their parents shoved food at them growing up while meanwhile maintaining the size of a twig. "MSG is dangerous!" Bitch, let's resolve our own culture's health crisis before we nitpick what's allegedly so bad about others.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 11:49 AM

It all makes sense now. Last night I woke up in a cold sweat and said "oh shit I wonder if Jim still has it"

He talked more than most men and women so he's not exactly the best data point.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/22 02:02 AM

Ime it depends on how the autism affects social skills. I've known two attractive/athletic guys with autism. One was kinda quiet and when he did speak it was often something surprisingly blunt or sarcastic. He did fine with women. The other was extremely talkative and could go on for literal hours about his topics of interest. He could get dates but getting past the first one was and afaik still is a major struggle for him.

I remember how things went down with greaterpenisthanthou very differently. I wasn't even blue-flaired at the time so I didn't have anything to do with the very blatant rivalry aspect. He was anti-Red, he was not pro-woman. Think for a second, why the fuck would a pro-woman user admit to what he said in the way he said it. He came off as self-assured and arrogant and wanted to outmanly the redpilled guys by flexing on them that he "been there done that." A few blues "defended" him initially beca…

The concept of the pickme predates FDS and was mainly used to refer to women who postured for (usually conservative) male approval on social media. It was not about what individual women were choosing to do for their SO in a committed relationship. I have yet to see FDS mentioned in a positive fashion on any mainstream subreddit, they're almost always referred to as female incels.
