That is seriously out of date. It hasn't been updated since 2003.

Most state laws give as much as a five year gap.

Isn't that an open and shut case of statutory rape? No.

My question more specifically related to any of your own spending. Of that 40k, how much of it did you actually spend? In what court of law would say, without your consent, or well before your age of consent, you were indebted for the actions of another? I can't imagine ANY of that being allowed to stick. I'm just baffled.

Wait, headmates is really a thing people espouse? I thought that was just a parody on some other overblown characteristic.

my parents started using my social security number when I was 12 for bills, credit cards, bank accounts, etc. And exactly how did you not get that dismissed for fraudulent activity?

Well done sir. That was most definitely a long read and appreciate the time you took to really draw out your thoughts. Mind you, it was a little depressing to read, but I could empathize with a lot of your points. :-\

This seems to be a side-effect of rape laws as we know them. Current rape laws usually stipulate penetration with a penis which is why rape laws are already horrible lop-sided for men. I can only imagine this is made worse by that fact. It is worth noting though that rape in general is a sexual act. It would seem to me this act falls more in line with either battery/sexual battery than rape.

Not sure why you were downvoted for that comment but I'd like you to address something... being held down during labor and having your perineum cut against your will and calling that "birth rape" is lunacy Where in MensRight has that been advocated?

I apologize, I was not meaning to imply you were of any specific association, just to show a mirrored parallel of how both sides are essentially doing the same thing to each other.

My parents just got divorced and they agreed that nobody's going to play dirty and pull legal bullshit on one another. Fast forward six months, now my mom is demanding child support (and she makes more than my dad by quite a bit) and she's about to get it, and she's also threatening to put my dad in jail, which would put me on the streets (unless I move in with her in her two bedroom apartment with my sister and my mom's new boyfriend nobody knows anything about, including my sister). My mom sai…

When you all assume that men, as a group, don't support you...it hurts. It makes me angry. It makes me feel like no matter what I do, you won't recognize that I'm on your side. Assuming I'm not makes it harder for me AND you. The same could be said to feminist, how rather ironic.

Ok, specifically judges have ruled that one could not be held into a contract into perpetuity.
/r/MensRights19/11/12 08:18 AM

Considering the human life span does not average out at 99 years or more, that is a contract in perpetuity.

Courts have regularly ruled that contracts can not be enforced in perpetuity.

Marriage is a legal concept, not a moral one. Since its inception, it has ALWAYS been a legal concept. You are confusing commitment with a legal concept. You are also marginalizing a lot of people based on some limited experience about how others handle a legal concept. If more people understood that marriage is a legal concept and not a moral one, they would be less likely to get married and focus more on ACTUAL commitment.

Much in the same way, if someone has just had their home burglarized, you don't start off by telling them, "You really should have done X."

The way people treat proposal, engagement, and the importance of marriage before they are married and how important they portray the day, and the resources involved in that day would make most contract negotiations between fortune 500 companies seem like suggestions. This all betrays the carelessness people treat the "forever" after that particular day. Two things, one; marriage is a contract between two consenting parties, and two; almost all legal contracts (at least in the US) prevent a perma…

Isn't it already a felony to assault a bus driver. I know it's like that in Florida at least. Also, why are few people mentioning the fact she was endangering the entire bus. The bus driver was well within his rights. She threatened his life as well as the passengers from her initial provocation. He had every right to use excessive force in that manner.

What the hell does facing adversity have to do with asking people not to be shitty people. What a trite statement you've made.
/r/MensRights18/08/12 05:26 PM

Yes, believe it or not, people can be adults. If people stopped expecting to be treated like shit it would stop, but as long as we accept that as the status quo, we as human being will continue to horrible to be to each for the sake of well, just being shitty.

If it sounds reworded, it because you seem incapable of comprehending the basic premise of my argument. Sorry you failed basic reading comprehension in first grade. Come back when you understand that choosing not to be shitty to people just because of what someone is, is a bad thing.

How about you get off whatever horse you rode in up on? You don't speak for all MRA's or any Gender Egalitarians. You speak for defending a position of, "We have always been shitty to people and no group of people who complain is a valid justification for changing." That's just inhuman and makes you come off like the ass that you are.
/r/MensRights18/08/12 01:17 AM

So basically if any group complains we shouldn't try to change because they are what they are? We obviously aren't doing it on our own. We could try to not taint our culture with shut behavior.

This is the world order, nothing new about it. I'm just glad that gamers are finally saying "No." Those gamers do not speak for me. This is bullshit. Asking to not be treated like shit is asking to being treated like a human being. Why do other gamers think they have an intrinsic right to deplorable behavior simply because it has gone unchecked for some time?
/r/MensRights18/08/12 12:01 AM

Girls aren't just playing now. They've been playing for quite some time. The community should change regardless. Not changing just because girls are complaining about the behavior is not a good argument not to stop shitty behavior.
/r/MensRights17/08/12 11:56 PM

Actually all of those comments are over the line. Shitty behavior regardless should be called out on, including ones that degrade women. I don't agree with the notion that somehow gaming inherently should be a breeding grounds for shitty behavior like this. I don't see why it is acceptable to treat your fellow human being like garbage with shit like that regardless if you're man or women or anything in between.

Not to take away from your anger, but why do people think punching dry wall is a good thing at all? That shit hurts, you fuck up your place and you waste time repairing it. Is there honestly not a better means to release your anger?

Tosh has a responsibility to get paid at the end of the day by making people laugh. If you don't think he's funny then don't watch his show. Which is really odd since he's an awful comedian. Not because of the rape jokes, he just sucks as a comedian all together. EDIT: Apparently there are fans of this awful comedian, go figure.

Wikipedia says it's illegal, but I followed the sources and now I am not so sure. Does anyone know of any specific statutes explicitly stating it's status which leads to a felony? I'm curious on this one.

I never said her arguments weren't flawed, though it seemed for the most part the debate was civil until people started downvoting just because they disagree.

The gist of the poster's replies implied that the removal of foreskin on a male is ok because it does not rise to level of an adult female being mutilated. That poster then went on to compare her [assuming] parent's giving her piercings as a child is on the same level as male have his skin painfully removed because we do not remember the trauma that was incurred. EDIT: I suck at grammar when it's late at night.

What part of unnecessary are you having trouble understanding? Piercings are not medically necessary nor are male genital mutilations.
/r/MensRights25/02/12 07:57 AM

Removing sensitivity from my penis without my consent is no where near the same as getting your ear pierced. And yes, there is no reason that she needed to pierce your ears, that's just installing gender bullshit on you at an early age.

From Wikipedia: Mutilation or maiming is an act of physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death. The same arguments could be made for female mutilation. It's worse that you think religion makes it ok. Mutilation is mutilation, no matter how you dress it up. Under usage it is even used: Some ethnic groups practice ritual mutilation, e.g. scarification, burning, flagellation, circumcision, tattooing or wheeling, as part of a rite of pas…

I do believe you have misapplied the word coerced. Persuasion I think would have been a more apt word. When I think coerced I generally assume some type of malicious intent, and in fact, the word is seen that way in terms of the law.

Oh man, one of the comments in that article: Sex is not a biological imperative and if you are going to engage then you should be ready to face the possibility of having a child (mothers and fathers alike). People need to stop trying to escape taking responsibility for their own actions. ಠ_ಠ
