And there is a much more insidious cycle at work. "We" are obsessed with lower and middle income wage earners, but small business owners used to accumulate asserts into their community, buying homes, donating, investing and leading, now all the profits go into a corporate structure based in Manhattan/Wall street. And to multiply the losses the chains will spend their money with other chains/non local companies. A local restaurant will hire a local architect, contractor, etc to build-buy MacDonal…

Second response to your posting, which I really appreciate and thank is well thought out, I think there is a Nother major facet that it seems to me is broadly ignored-perhaps because the consumer is so clearly complicit in this problematic direction. Consumers have absolutely been wooed by the predictability and price of chains. What they don't realize is that the complete domination of our small community business environment by large chains has a deeply destructive impact on individual income,…

I am a small business owner and I definitely concur with your observations on why there is less room in the marketplace and less demand for higher paid employees. When you say automation, you talk about efficiency and a reduction in the need for as many workers. My observation is that even more potent in terms of the pressure on income levels, is that automation and technology has reduced the value of experience and seniority. For example in the past we would've had to outsource photography whic…

Not really - you can neither take credit for, nor blame for, the actions of either. You are living in a silly world where you believe that the mental constructs of nations, teams, state, etc actually have some bearing on you personally. As other posters have noted - we can respect standing up for an idea, or a principle, but you come across as a chest-beating ape in search of a "flag" to stand under that gives you an excuse to look for target to stub out your roid-rage on. Here is a philosophica…

Robb wolf of paleo solution encourages going strict to see health benefits then let borderline foods back in to see what you can tolerate/what you want your lifestyle to be. Dairy is great for me, rice is carby-but otherwise ok, but seed oils and gluten both fuck me up. I can be fanatical but really it's about health (which allows one to enjoy life) not a blind set of principles.

I have a son and a daughter and I think a lot about this for my daughter, too. My thought now (she's still a a baby) is that if I can help her learn to be internally self-motivated and internally self-validated that she will be better able to identify those people that add to her life and those that take. Teenage years are a long way off - but unlike many fathers I talk to I hope she has a happy and positive sexual life. If she waits until generally later I think that's better, but I feel that m…

Fair. Although its really a bit of a trick, the immediate pain and discomfort is "easier" with the c, but the heal time is much much worse. Your point is actually better made by pointing to the epidural. That sucker works and because of it women experience like 1% of the pain that nature sets them up for. Source; am a dad to a c baby and a vag baby. Fuckin miraculous.

Spent some time with her on a photo shoot. Pretty sure she is a lesbian / or at least an occasional lesbian. She was ornery and angry as hell. If I had known better back then I would have seen that for the monumentally large shit test it was. She treated every man i saw her talk to like they were beneath her. Was very uncomfortable when I tried to coach her to be more feminine for the camera. Still had that star charisma though in spite of everything.

Large Johnsons were not part of the "ideal" Greek/roman paradigm. Although if the god Priapus (google it) was guarding your home you might offer this rather masculine threat. I warn you, boy, you will be screwed; girl, you will be fucked; a third penalty awaits the bearded thief. If a woman steals from me, or a man, or a boy, let the first give me her cunt, the second his head, the third his buttocks. Amazing. Once again two men treating each other with respect despite disagreeing perhaps rather passionately. One of the new pill behaviors I am bromanced by is watching red pill men disagree. I had almost forgotten what it was like to see logical debate devoid of childish behaviors.

Lots of up votes tells the story. I wrote this same thing a few weeks ago when I first realized it. Those of use with great moms and dads had the fortune to know utterly selfless love. (My mom) as the general would say "it's a trap!" A man needs to grow up an jump into the abyss. We carry the warmth of that love with us-but when we are men we need to know that that love can no longer carry US.

The strangest part here is that so many elements of sex-differences are culturally manufactured. Pink was the color if boys until maybe 60 years ago (and 100 years ago both wore dresses through early childhood). Kids learn the culturally relevant versions of their sex roles. Btw - does this camp teach cooking, childbearing and other traditionally feminine roles? Or is "being a woman" exclusively mean Glee Club?

Had a friend many years ago - aspiring actor. I literally saw a waitress drop an entire tray of empty beer glasses when she saw him. Enter a bar and every woman would stare openly-I even had his business card with me and a female friend tried to steal it, physically grabbed it and refused to return because it had his photo on it (aspiring actor like I said) He eventually became an exotic dancer but that is a different story.

To date there is no biological test for any psychological so-called disease. If no pharmaceutical company has demonstrated a single brain chemical "imbalance" that drives say depression- are you telling us that this is not true with love? Sounds like science by way of "Elle" magazine.

I realized this years before I learned of the pill-that no woman would ever love me completely and irreplaceably the way my mother does. Here again, same question, does statistics seriously allow the use of language "all" when there are a tiny number of exceptions? Can you provide a link?

Interesting conversation-you say that statistics are not Boolean and this you can say "all" when it's not technically all. I understand all your words but they don't make sense to me. Wouldn't a statistician still qualify the statement somehow? Finding strong male leads in drama is pretty damn rare these days. Watching some TV show the other night, and after an hour of characters running and shooting at each other - the culmination of the episode was that everyone had to express their deepest emotions to beat the monster. I went to the fridge to get some food until the crying was over. (It was Warehouse 13 BTW - and now that I think about it the male characters in that show are either bumbling, stupid, gay, or evil.)

Multiplier seems pretty ineffective. You ply that you are 30. (50-20=30) If you have a mortgage you have a negative net worth. But ignoring that, if you have $200,000 in real assets. (Money not cars and toys) them you are way ahead of the curve. (WAY) ahead. 10x 200,000 = $2,000,000 That's not an empire by any stretch. It's not even enough to buy a really nice house and then pay for maintenance and taxes for any period of time. Maybe if you shot for an income that is 10x current that might mean …

Why can't I reply to this post? Weird. Thanks for your long and thoughtful answer. I am a little confused-and perhaps it's the limitations of my preconceptions-I generally interpret issues of gender as being sexual activity related.
