I feel like that’s normal, once you get home some time after 5 if you go to the gym and cook dinner that basically takes most of the rest of the evening.

I literally searched software engineer on levels after clicking the link you yourself sent and it says median 170k. And 320k 90th percentile

If you work at faang and make 300k you’re not “fairly average”, you’re at the absolute top. Why act like it’s the norm in humblebrag comments? Especially now when we see a market correction happening in tech with layoffs. Getting further and further from the norm.

Software seems very very difficult right now though to get into especially without a degree.

What job. Did they care that you weren’t? I ask because it seems like a trend that they unnecessarily require 4 year degrees. Good to see exceptions to that.

Most of the dudes I know from my college are single virgins like me. A rebuttal would be to say I only know fellow losers and nerds so it’s not a representative sample, which is fair. But this includes guys I know who I consider impressively extroverted and well adjusted.

Well they also live in walkable cities

I don’t agree with that mindset either but I also think they don’t mean college students, but rather something like a 24 year old and and a 30 year old, which is less weird.

How young are we talking though? Could be completely different landscape for guys if they’re 20 vs 28. I would guess the people you saw are more likely late twenties early thirties.

That’s wild. Sorry to hear. Did they see it happen? Honestly I do worry about the bystander effect, keep hearing about people behaving in weird and erratic ways and random criminality in urban environments. Maybe people need to learn to team up against these people? idk

A rmr this post where a guy at a club had a bloodied face because he tried stepping in and got punched and the woman in question had in the end gone home with the harasser.

You know for the longest time I thought it was just a passtime and not a big deal. Then I challenged myself to quit and came to the horrific result that I couldn’t. I’d make a few days and feel good about myself and then have the bullshit “one more time” just to enjoy myself mentality. The longest streak I had pornfree was broken by being drunk, so that seems to be a major risk factor in my case. It’s awful. Honestly even if my life isn’t profoundly affected by quitting porn it doesn’t matter be…

So why are men not competitive? Is this a recent phenomenon according to you?

Curious specifically about the statusmog and moneymog in your case. What are the details, to what degree was the person self made?

I am probably coping to deal with being a virgin myself, but I don’t think that it’s comparable to speech or learning to walk. I don’t think in ancient times sex was not a normal part of development. Without marriage sex was probably way less equitable, with far fewer men being able to participate than today. So I think it would be a pretty standard experience to grow up as a young man and be celibate. So my theory is it’s not necessarily that important for emotional development to have sex. Ope…

Are there a large group of men saying this?? I see it more as men with low body count asking for women who are also low, which seems like it’s too much to ask.

I mean a large group will end up alone otherwise, for better or worse

Sometimes you can’t even tell where you are though. Like if your ethnic in a country without many ethnics. What is your equivalent in that case exactly?

Wdym. It’s only dead for a specific group of men: us

I mean we’ll have to see what happens this is a recent trend after all. If the number of marriages plummets then the answer is no. Otherwise yes.

I mean the women would end up alone otherwise, so company?

That’s a good point but I feel like they’re specifically just being racist to the white guy as usual. I don’t think those leftists would attack the asian girl or the black girl in those cases.

It’s an indirect unforeseen effect. If you shame men for being virgins or not getting women they will feel pressured to lose it quick or increase their n count because of the social stigma, thereby making women be seen as disposable objects.

Absolutely mirrors the language of eugenics and nazism. Which is interesting because you would expect twox to be leftist.

Yearly checks with a Dr to see if you pass the test or else your health insurance goes up. Basically a fat people tax. I'm down (bc i would save money) but what about women?
