I like your mentality. I think it's more of this acceptance/optimism that's needed. Your ideas remind me of Jordan Peterson.

I know an upvote can suffice as thanks, but honestly, I want to thank you for taking the time with all of that. Truly beyond helpful and many good points.

I've been trying to read a book a week since the start of January (up from a book a month which was last New Year's resolution that I successfully completed) and I've started keeping a little "quotes and musings" book with me to paraphrase (or quote directly) ideas from the book I'm reading or podcast I'm listening to. It's nerdy, but in all honesty, the amount of retention I have from the books I read has gone up so much. It's really a man-diary of the evolution of your consciousness and what a…

TRP to me just means access to knowledge of the real world That is exactly it; I agree. TRP told me the rules, but it also told me where the rules come from and what rules are. Awareness is more important than intelligence. "The rules" aren't something that were thought up first, that we then attempt to adhere to after their formulation (like Marxism or Feminism). These are untrue, they jar against our inner selves and fail, which I believe OP is referring to with regards to this Chad persona he…

It's always been my opinion that it is the mother's fault that the father doesn't want to bother with the child in this scenario. People will say "oh, but it's not the child's fault; they shouldn't have to suffer", well how about this, you note and remember what this woman did in order to bring that child into the world, then judge her on her character. Basically, leave the child out of it, in fact, who brought the child into this situation? Wasn't the fucking "dad" was it?! Man, it grinds my ge…

Honest answer, but likely not taken seriously, is meditation. As OP said, there's a chapter in 'Think And Grow Rich' that specifically deals with using "energy" to benefit your willpower. If you let horniness/energy bubble up it'll get the better of you. Noticing it, acknowledging it's there, and then refocusing yourself does wonders for your self control. For me, half of what gives me control is understanding the system of whys and hows (which is what has brought myself others here). By knowing…
