0	Is it worth it? I think you need to work on the sorts of people you approach. You seem to be talking about lowest common demoninator sorts of things. Pro sports are boring, even though 90% of bars are dedicated to them. That's because 90% of people are boring. Go to hip cafes and look at their bulletin board for cool events that center around intellectual topics. If you're still at a loss on where to find interesting people, I also recommend online dating.
