Though I understand your point, you actually have it backwards. Communism was created by Machiavellians and is actually intended to help the bourgeoisie, not the proletariat. One of Karl Marx's 10 Plancks of Communism is a central bank being established under a socialist state, like what we have right now in the US. The purpose of the central bank is so the state can take control over the credit and monetary system and so bankers/Congress can benefit by stealing wealth from the poorer people thr…

The problem with weed is that it makes you happy being bored, being complacent. It makes everything totally okay to the point where you don't need to improve because there's a seratonin filled hug box waiting for the low low price of 2 bucks a joint. Fuck. That. 100% bullshit. In fact it did the opposite for me. I smoked weed every day for years when I was in college. I got a BS in EE from one of the top 50 schools in the U.S. I wrote some of my best music and got way better at guitar and engine…

Aww... anarchists are so cute and naive. In which case you get the justice system that caters to the highest bidder, and due to power imbalances (in wealth, mostly), the non-wealthy get the short end every time (see binding arbitration). Aww... statists are so cute and naive. Sounds like exactly the system we live under now. Only difference is under the system you support, the state is simultaneously systematically transferring wealth from the bottom up and destroying the middle class, which can…

This is not a very good analogy. Marriage is voluntary so it is no less "An-Cap" than the dating market. That is incorrect. Marriage is only voluntary if you meet certain state-approved requirements. In the U.S., it can't be more than two people, and in some states those two people must be opposite sex. It's illegal to draw up a contract between two or more individuals that competes with the state's definition of marriage. You're making it seem like we need to live in an An-Cap society to have a…

You could make that argument if you had an agenda but otherwise this is an empty statement. Argumentum ad lapidem logical fallacy. The marriage market and the dating market are not isolated and separate like you imply. There's really no way to make an honest argument for this in the present or at any time in the past. You'd have to really really want the square peg to fit in the round hole with little regard for things like facts and nuance. The line between marriage and dating is clearly black …

If she wants to divorce you, is it still going to be the same financial outcome?

I guess you can never be sure, but every male in my family was already noticeably balding by my age and I still have a full head of hair.

I definitely hit the genetic jackpot when it comes to that. In my late 20s and I look 10+ years younger without a beard. Didn't get the balding gene so I'll be in my prime for at least 15 more years. Only thing that will slow me down is gray hair.

It could also just mean they were attempting to play cards but were too drunk to focus. We'll never really know for sure, but you do have a point about the parenthetical phrase being loaded. That's the sort of comment that would set off my BS detector in a face to face conversation.

It's one thing if the MIL is gathering evidence that DIL is cheating, but it's pretty fucked up that she'd show that evidence to everyone in her family without proof. She should have kept it between her, her son, and daughter-in-law. MIL is a crazy bitch. He didn't jump to his wife's defense when his mother called her out. He simply walked out. why? Because his wife has no fucking defense. That is simply not true. OP said: "my husband who just came out of shock also confirms that he's our best f…

Sounds like he's trying to justify the lingering thoughts in his mind that he may have made a terrible mistake by marrying his wife.

Question: How many partners did you slept with? I prefer to ask how many guys she's done anything with...and it's always one of the first questions I ask when I'm about to get intimate with a new girl.

Woman judge orders man to pay 30k in child support for someone else's child. The worst part is the judge knows it isn't his child yet she makes him pay anyways. The man took a DNA test proving it's not his. I have lost all faith in our justice system because of things like this. I agree it's bullshit. That is what you get when you put faith in the state in the first place. A monopoly on justice cannot be just. The only way for our society to ever truly have justice is to dismantle the state and …

Your description of sigma male describes me almost to a tee. I'm not submissive to alphas, I have the intelligence and ambition of an alpha, I fuck like an alpha, but I don't consider myself to be an alpha for a few reasons. I don't have any trouble getting laid and have attracted alpha females in the past. I'm a shy ENTJ, so borderline introvert around people I'm not close to.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any sympathy for people who can't control their calorie intake. But the emerging overweight crisis is entirely economic. More Americans are overweight today because of the federal government passing laws and causing economic downturns that make it too expensive to eat healthier. Sugar quotas drive up the price of sugar so we use high fructose corn syrup instead. Corporations like Monsanto are able to lobby the government to pass laws that benefit them at the expe…

And you hear intellectuals like Noam Chomsky conflate democracy with liberty all the time. We are on a rapid downward slope towards a 1984 hell hole, and it's entirely because the democratic majority have been voting for politicians that have legislated us here. Democracy has proven itself to be extremely tyrannical - even the checks that the Constitution put on it weren't enough to stop it, just slow it down. The "Will of the People" is tyranny. Always has been; always will be. Democracy and go…
