Got access to her WhatsAppThey will if any marital funds were used on the affair. That's where I'm at in my divorce. Yes, the affair itself is hardly an issue, but misuse of marital funds in an affair is an issue. OP should deep dive his financials in relation to these "business trips" and if joint money was spent that can tip things in his favor financially. That, and the cheater gets to defend themselves in the context of an affair in front of a judge if they claim money wasn't spent on an affair. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/01/25 06:30 PM
For those who got cheated on, do you blame the AP?Nope. I had known and been on and off dating my ex before we finally got married. With her first husband she had at least two affairs I was aware of and she had many affairs with boyfriends when we were younger. I was well aware of who she was even getting into marriage. I told her there was a zero tolerance policy. Surprise, she cheated on me and I moved out and eventually filed for divorce after tracking all the receipts down of her affair and expenditures on her partner. | 3 | The divorce subreddit is sickening!!!!Trust me, I'm in that process now. It's unfortunately complex because I also rely on them right now for babysitting as my job doesn't afford me the luxury of remote work. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/01/25 09:01 PM

She denied the affair I caught her on to her friends and family and suddenly I'm viewed as the one who destroyed our family. My family knows the truth but still continually checks in with her, and even several of my friends have basically sided with her and cut me out. It's absolutely shit, but I don't feel like airing out grievances on social media so I just quietly suffer. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/01/25 08:04 PM |
I had to tell my son we were separatingI was 10 when I was pulled out of school by my Mom and she told me that she filed for divorce. Yeah, I was heartbroken. I remember that day. Looking back, you know what else I remember? How quickly I ultimately adjusted. While I remember that day I don't remember anything else bad about that time period. I'm fortunate with my divorce that my kid just turned 3 so he's had minimal issues adjusting these past few months. The moral of the story is that it's not the end of his world. It may feel like… | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/12/24 10:03 PM

Just got the divorce papers sent to me. Really is hitting hard. How to cope?Once it clicked for me that the person I was in love with wasn't the person I married/divorcing it made accepting things much easier. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/08/24 07:43 PM
