I love this clarification, so perfect. I was thrilled to see you are putting a stop to “just leave him.” I found this sub amazingly helpful a few years back and had mostly stopped browsing specifically because of the “just leave him” comment problem. I saw some appalling examples! Thank you!!

I actually came onto RPW looking for a post like this last night so thank you. I made the grave mistake of going on Instagram and seeing all the flowers and candy and sappy posts and started feeling sad! Avoid social media is definitely my advice, to avoid comparison and accept what your man has to offer on any given holiday.

Anyone know of youtubers similar to Cynthia L or Mrs. Midwest who have kids?? I have THREE lol and I like Mrs. Midwest but I feel like it would be a lot more helpful for me personally if she had the added experience of raising kids while homemaking.

I was a single mom! A friend who is interested in TRP introduced me to RPW after I had expressed that I was very serious about finding a husband. I looked through TRP a little (some kind of manual online?) and I was struck and saddened by how much of my past love life had followed the patterns they talked about. After getting a basic overview, though, I stopped looking at anything TRP and dove into RPW. All of this happened - miraculously - right as me and my sons father were getting back togeth…

As another counter to the above thread, I just started homeschooling my two (full custody) step kids because they were doing terrible in public school. They have been through a lot in their little lives so that is not typical, but the system totally failed them. They had a lot of social issues on top of being behind in every subject. We are in our second week so who knows how it will go long term, but we are in a charter school that has two on campus days per week, plus social events. I’ll also …

You are biologically wired to become attached after you have sex. He’s biologically wired to chase tail. It’s neither of your faults. Who knows what could come of it, but you definitely need to give him space now. Let it go. Moving forward, you’ve learned two things: You are ready to attract an older guy. You should not be anywhere near the next guys bedroom/living room or your bedroom/living room at night until you have established relationship goals! That might sound silly but looking back on …

I just realized very recently that these exact problems are what Christian people really mean when they say everyone is a "sinner". We all have self-destructive tendencies, society as a whole does as well. TRP has shown you this, and you are not alone. We all follow patterns, UNLESS we choose a greater good for ourselves. Some people call this "God." Choose your greater good, your greatest expression of long term happiness and find other people who are doing the same.

Well I'm pretty disappointed to see where that thread went, really wasn't that helpful to me. But thinking about responding to this comment helped me figure out a couple of things. I do not think he is abusive mainly because he left her she left the kids with him he was sober the last 2-3 years of his marriage Those are important facts imo. There are other reasons too. He does have high testosterone, he does have a temper. I rarely see it, but he's very open about his weaknesses. And I'm not ine…

I guess one more bit to show my dilemma: I'm facing dating as a single mother (something I already haven't had great success with) vs. being with the father of my son, who i have common interests with, who I can talk to for hours, who has a lot of relationship experience and understands communication and masculine and feminine dynamics, who is intelligent and self-aware and spiritual. And he's sexy as fuck. And he's telling me he wants to be a family with me and my son.

I agree with you, I shouldn't make excuses and I'm worried I'm still doing that. I am trying to focus on the present here though and give him a chance to prove himself now that he is more mentally stable. I have also had very negative patterns that I'm recognizing. I also agree that I lost my identity for awhile there, so that is perceptive of you (also through the process of becoming a single mother which has of course been difficult) but I have been feeling much more reconnected to myself, wit…
