His friends told her about his money, not him. Having people say good things about you is more attractive than bragging about yourself.

If you've grown to where you're in a superior position, you should be able to tell them to fuck off in a joking way and bring people at your level into the gathering (from elsewhere in the bar, by texting someone, etc.) Don't let them dictate the dynamics. Change the group.

Just go out with your cousin more. You're intimidated because you're out of practice, and you're expecting a lot more of yourself than you would have been three years ago.

As a modern, presumably American man, you are so far from being a strong Biblical man that it's literally pathetic. TRP is a natural path that attempts to return to it. There are others, too. Any of them is better than playing dead. The only collision in TRP with Christianity is in the area of adultery, but there is nothing about it that makes adultery necessary. If you get married, your wife can definitely be gamed to a highly satisfying degree. You will find that you get a high quantity, quali…

Join a few sports leagues. I recommend softball and volleyball. The men-women ratio is great, lots are single, and everyone drinks afterwards and on weekends. The age range is probably early 20s to mid 30s.

First of all, don't do this. It's over. If you really want to, you need to control the narrative so it's not like you've been available. Something like "i'm in town. [interesting activity] at 9 see you there" would probably be your best chance. She probably won't come but she might think she's missing something if she thinks about you, and that might turn into something later.

I don't think you were very alpha to send #1 that text, or to call. You didn't get her hot enough and she faded. #2: she wanted the opposite of you want. Just let her go. You can't fix that.

Sleep deprivation makes your brain shitty and desperate. You become more willing to make some pretty big compromises to be accepted, or understood, or just to avoid a hassle. There's a certain no-fucks-given that comes with deliriousness or a lack of energy, but long term, you're not yourself and you make bad decisions. Also, sleep deprivation messes with your cortisol, adrenaline and testosterone. All three make it a lot easier to be masculine.

An open relationship is just hooking up with an added expectation that the less open party has to stick around to provide financial and emotional benefits (i.e., the relationship part.) It is convenient for one partner because they can expect the benefits of monogamy without providing them. Also, the other parties in the open relationship have their own wants and they don't feel obligated to be the way the open relationship partners want them to be, or to stay that way. I suppose it is possible …

Well, I obviously didn't know all about your travels. Where are the parties with the cosmopolitan men who value the same in a woman? Go to those. You need to become more attractive. Since you work out, I'll again suggest posture and demeanor, and add to it that you might be able to improve your dress without spending too much. Definitely suggest the cosmopolitan angle; there is something maddening about a woman who can talk confidently about life in multiple places but speak contently about wher…

Are you meeting these men while single and they are not interested? How many have rejected or passed over you? You are going to have trouble because you are not particularly interesting (going off of what you've said here) and you are in academia. Without knowing more, I'd suggest to start standing and walking straighter and more generously, and to think of witty things you can say at social events that would trip up your past lovers without sounding mean or petty.

Thanks to you and everyone else. I think this line of thinking is correct and I've started to apply it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
