I don’t know your friend but let’s be honest. If he asks for your help, he knows what is wrong but doesn’t want to face the truth. Just let him know, as the friend you are. And to be honest with you, I think that indirectly he wants you to tell him, what he has to improve or at least understand.

You do nothing unfortunately. I had a friend like him. And I learned that : I gave him a chance and if he takes it, good for him. You said this (situation with girls) happened to your friend multiple times, so he didn’t take the help you gave him. Let him experience by himself. You can’t change people.
