I don't know why people don't hire someone to do a background investigation on a potential spouse? I'd want to know exactly who I'm marrying. Criminal record? Previous marriages? Debt? Relatives? Education? Are they already married? All of it. I would never propose before doing this. And make sure that you only pick up the results in person.

I had this one friend whose brother always refused to sign, got taken to jail, and would immediately demand to see a judge. He would go to court and argue and get continuations to "gather more evidence" and would hope the cop would miss the next court date and he could get the ticket thrown out. Surpisingly, this strategy actually worked more than it should have. I think he wanted to get pulled over just so he could fight with the system and then brag about it.

You sign the ticket to acknowledge the receipt of the ticket and that you will appear in court if you can't/don't pay the fine online or through the mail. With an arrestable offense, refusing to sign means you are resisting and they take you to jail, arraign you, and you have to post bail or get ROR from a judge or stay in jail until your court date. Just sign the damn ticket karen you crapbag.

The mindset of trying to fake an assault to get what you want is the very foundation of the karen concept. "I'm just gonna cry wolf and get what I want because I deserve it!" It's appalling. There really needs to be a law with stiff penalties for this behavior.

From his diatribe, it sounds like he's been listening to both of them bad mouth each other for quite a while. Don't know how long we are talking but it sounds like he is tired of it. Probably why he awards joint custody so no one really wins.

If she's a cop and shot a man because she "panicked", then she should doesn't have the self control to be a cop. She's lying.

Trying to bring someone's arm behind their back while they are resisting is difficult if your intent is to NOT injure their arm or shoulder. It's actually very difficult to control the takedown while trying not to injure the suspect while they are fighting. You can hurt someone very easily using too much force trying to twist their arm. It's unfortunate that her face was hurt but she did not cooperate when informed what was happening. She tried to leave, mocked the police, and fought the arrest.…

I'm shocked that your ex-wife doesn't know this information considering you were a bouncer. Did you not regale her with stories from your job? Probably wouldn't be convinced even after the judge finds her guilty of assault. "But he hit me back and I'm a girl! That's not fair!"

Thanks. I probably should not expect rationale discourse on this site but I think discussing our overloaded system of prison incarceration is worthwhile. For the record, I do not defend in any way the actions of these two women. After reading more articles, I found one that stated they were not related to the toddlers and were babysitting them.

Actually I've never taken any drugs (except perscription), alcohol, or tobacco products. I personally believe mind altering chemicals are wrong and should be eschewed unless medically necessary. But I do not think 45 year sentences are appropriate. Think about how long that is and measure it against the magnitude of the crime and the span of a normal human lifetime.

The punishment for drug offences in the US is absurd and mainly brought about as an easy target for politicians to tout when trying to get elected. The "Tough on crime" slogan is regularly used to get voters on their side. The same money in this country going to punishment should halved and re-directed toward education and rehabilitation. That being said, these women should not be allowed around children anymore and perhaps jailed for a period of something like 5 years in order to teach them a l…
