| 2 | Poker and Plausible DeniabilityI'm not any good at poker, so I'll take your word for it. Although I'm not certain that telling a story and maximizing EV are actually different from each other, since the way you maximize EV is by making plays that (on average) will convince your opponent to act a certain way. I like the part about keeping Bluff Bets in your range, that's a clearer way of thinking about what I was trying to say in my last sentence about plausible deniability. | /r/TheRedPill | 03/12/19 11:06 PM |
| 1 | Poker and Plausible DeniabilityIs the nightcap line really the first thing you say? The "nightcap" gives plausible deniability for sex, but I was thinking she would want another layer of plausible deniability to even go along with the nightcap idea. If you literally just open with the cover story for sex, then yeah the whole "narrowing your range" idea is ridiculous, because it starts out as narrow as it can be. | /r/TheRedPill | 03/12/19 10:53 PM |
| 1 | Poker and Plausible Deniabilityyou can choose your pocket cards after the flop in regular poker too... as long as you choose something that doesn't conflict with what's already happened in the game so far. Obviously you can't actually have the physical cards, but you can act like you do which is almost as good. | /r/TheRedPill | 03/12/19 10:40 PM |
| 1 | 'The Hopedigger': "This is the woman who falls in love with a man before he has made his mark on the world, because she sees something great in him that needs time to burst forth. She places her hope in him."She doesn't have to trust you, she only has to trust her own assessment of your potential. And one of the side effects of having lots of future potential is that you probably have something to offer in the present as well. | /r/TheRedPill | 20/09/19 11:09 PM |
