A lot of women have absolutely no need for affection / sex after kids - it’s shocking and selfish

What universe are you living in where she’s asking for $$11k/month alimony

I am married to a med oncologist and there is definitely a god complex / “I’ve got to sleep for work tomorrow” bullshit. Also, the marital bedside manner shit the bed when we got married. Physically, she’s let herself go / which makes me work out more lol. She won’t even small talk medical stuff I find online etc to have conversations. It’s brutal.

“Did anyone else have sex with their wife after marriage?” About twice. We have two kids. Go figure.

Tinder, Hinge, Bumble…

I would work on yourself and get your confidence up. Then, go back on the market and be the dad (eventually) you deserve to be - you’ve got time 🙏🏽

It’s worth it - maybe the lightening bolt that you were serious shook something in to her. Please make intimacy part of the discussions / agreement - I too am in that situation. My wife once painfully said, “I can’t force it” (the feeling) - but for me, I can’t live between now and dead in a barren marriage. So make sure you work through it and get some resolve. 🔥🔥

Maybe go to counseling with your daughters? That’s what matters here, not your bygone marriage.

Yeah - it’s riveting, Marriage Story. And thankfully the dog got rehomed. Go to your local pound and adopt another dog - you want it, and you’re on your terms now, chief.

Did you see “marriage story” on Netflix? All he cares about is that his kids knew he fought for them. The kids will be worth the fight, and they are worth the fight. I am sorry about the dog, too. That’s heartless and shows her true colors. Change is the only certainty in life, unfortunately.

I feel like oftentimes after the kids come, the wheels fall off, because the kids manifest what the woman wanted the whole time - not us, the man. We were a means to an end. It’s incredibly selfish and dysfunctional and it ends up hurting the kids the most - and the man. Just awful.

“Till death do us part” - how do the wheels fall off so badly??

My counselor said tonight shut the cameras off. I did, and a fight ensued. I’m working up to shutting the. Off little by little again…

This is very perceptive - she tries to control everything. She’s a physician, this the god-complex / “I control everything”. We have 27 cameras in / around our house, where she watches everyone’s move - tv time, nanny, sleeping, etc - I have tried to shut them off and she won’t allow it. I think it’s all about control. And yes, the nanny is Austrian and looks like an aryan queen.

She’s let herself go. But that doesn’t seem to affect cheating, from most men’s sides.

And I just reflect on those blissful days “before ring” - how does this happen? Is it ubiquitous?

I can’t be bothered really - I just want a peaceful life.

No previous cheating - just odd hobbies / independence.

Why aren’t you getting a divorce and partial custody? She’s still abusing you, albeit mentally.

This thread hits hard. I feel like I’m in the middle of screwed - don’t want to hurt the kids, but between now ans dead can’t live like this.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
