1	Why is mate guarding, even in subtle ways, reviled in western society? I guess you could technically call that "manipulation" but that is at best an extreme understatement. People would call these things "rape". "Manipulation" is more often used to refer strategies used to change women's minds and make them agree to sex with you without threats.
