The reason men are attracted to slim women is because a child will inherit ONLY the mother's mitochondrial DNA. The father CANNOT contribute anything to this part of a child. Good Mitochondrial DNA and therefore, good health, are strongly selected for.

This one hit on something I have been thinking for a while: I think most women can’t help trying to control their husbands – the irony is that they are increasingly miserable and insecure if they succeed. Deep down they don’t like being bitches, start despising their husband’s weakness and feel insecure because it’s like they are their husband’s mother while he is a child, leaving them the only adult in the house. IMO women’s attempts to control their husbands are an instinctively motivated test…

Yep, couldn't read it past that part. I was thinking "how does this crap get published, don't they have an editor?" She is the fucking editor.

The credit is due to Thomas Sowell. He says it many places. I came across it first in this book. This is a great book, as it spells out the assumptions about human nature one is required (at least subconsciously) to make to have certain political beliefs.

Be careful using the word "equality". I think you mean that you believe in procedural fairness over the equality of the outcome. E.g. Women should have an equal opportunity to serve on the board of a company based on merit, vs. the company should be forced to have some minimum quota of women, because equality. The second scenario isn't equality. It's bullcrap.

Yep. I have speculated that beta behavior is in part, a reaction to the prevalence of birth control. Men are simply giving women what they are temporarily attracted to.

This. She was probably on the pill the entire time she has known her current husband. Off the pill, she wants the best genes, not necessarily the best provider.

I have lately been wondering if this trend is simply men adapting to female preferences due to widespread use of birth control. There has been some research that women prefer less masculine men while on the pill. This sort of explains the dichotomy of female choices. Women go for the alpha with the best genes to pass on, then seek out a provider to stick around and take care of the kid. These preferences change throughout her cycle. If lots of women are on the pill, they will choose a beta provi…

A similar question has been running through my head lately- what are the long term goals of this subreddit? Admittedly, I am a noob, but there doesn't seem to be a specific policy agenda or call to action like men's rights guys. As far as I can tell red pillers don't really benefit from having more red pillers around to compete with.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
