It's a tempest in a teapot, males are already required to register, this just makes the process automatic.

Wow, talk about moving the goal posts. This is less than a constructive or useful thread at this point with the amount of hyperbole.

Do you know any? I live in a purple place - lots of dems and repubs - no one is killing and beating their children. You live in a made up land.

So similar to the JK situation where the hate is almost exclusively from the progressive extremists towards her, yet it is portrayed as the reverse. Lots of propaganda out there, I suggest going beyond headlines and actaully reading primary sources.

Your downplaying the power inherent in the side that owns most major news media, academia, Hollywood and probably your HR department. And that doesn't even begin to address the influence they have in the Democratic party and Medical Associations. BTW, JK doesn't hate trans people, she just believes that there is an inherent difference between a someone born a female and someone who decides to become one.

I find the TRAs much more gender reactionary than any conservative or sports by biology democrat. They base their belief on self-ID due to conformance with historical gender norms. If an observed at birth boy likes skirts and dolls, well that's a sign. If an observed at birth girl has a bit of a tomboy in her, well that's a sign. The whole ideology is built on keeping gender roles very strict and any variance from them is a symptom of gender dysphoria.

Anyone who denies the existence of misandry is clearly a sexist bigot, the left is full of them.

With any other demographic, the problem would be consider systemic and forces would be marshalled to correct. With this demographic, it's their own damn fault.

That is so false to be beyond ridiculous. When advocates take extreme maximalist positions that go against every record book published, I generally shut up and let them fall. If your statement was true all open teams would be full of women. How many are in the premier league, the NFL? anyone?

Nah, the impact of male puberty is lasting and goes beyond current hormone levels. Yes, there is a spectrum of athletic ability intra-sex, but a statistical difference inter-sex. No one advocating for the dissolution of female exclusive sports has proven that it's more fair than the historical system which has worked well for more than decades.

Sports are an obvious issue these days. Since men's leagues are traditionally open, there is no problem with trans men or trans women competing. Women's leagues however aren't open in the same way and historically were for females only. Since men have physical advantages over women, they are seen as taking opportunities away from women.

Here's a link to Oscar nomination criteria. Do you not see it as discrimination against whites? https://www.oscars.org/awards/representation-and-inclusion-standards I think it's almost impossible to overweigh how much Hollywood impacts our society with their norms and standards.

Be careful. It's difficult to believe that your morals aren't superior, everyone does that to some extent, but it's really a difference in starting assumptions and life experience. The far left has a difficult time with this concept and is very quick to label anyone in disagreement as someone coming from a place of hate or idiocy. That's a bit pervasive in the party which is why any attempt to question the intersectional stack or the patriarchy is met with such resistance. I'm coming from a plac…

Just as the right has space for Never Trumpers, there should be space on the left to call out the hateful messaging from the progressives seeped in identity politics.

If the Patriarchy were similar to woke, you'd see quotas for men in industry along with a change in higher ed to reduce the current 40/60 split between males and females.

How do you police a social justice movement? Feminism hasn't been able to, BLM was consistently off message and the anti-fascists are anything but.

This is just one half of the equation. The graphs I've see show a slight movement of young men to the right, but an absolute torrent of young women moving left. That's the bigger shift in the demographics which is never brought up as an "issue" in the same negative way the male trend is. Why have so many women moved left and is it reflective of a party that panders to one sex to the detriment of the other?

I know this is considered a more right leaning publication, but Claire (author) speaks to why younger men shifted towards Trump and the reasons given seem to be similar to other posters I've seen here. https://quillette.com/2024/11/06/the-revenge-of-the-silent-male-voter-trump-vance-musk/

Because reddit's policies forbid posts that could lead to violence and hate against historically marginalized groups. Since men don't fit that definition, it's fair game.

It's integral to intersectionality and how the progressive left works. The importance of your lived experience grows with the ability to attach yourself to their definition of a historically oppressed sub-population. Those that are part of the cis-gender male sample are told that their views aren't valid as they don't face marginalization and it's time for them to set aside any self preservation instincts to make space for others. Intersectionality in the US, is definitionally misandric and raci…

One causal theory of Trans Women is auto gynephilia which is inherently sexual. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22005209/
