I actually always got "why are you with your boyfriend" and accusations about dating down when I had a fat boyfriend while being a thin not ugly woman. He was charismatic and funny, he did a ton of chores and helped fix things too, he ate me out for hours, he bought me flowers and chocolate, I found him very sexy despite that he had a big ugly belly... I got way more flack while dating him than I've ever gotten dating a hot asshole.

Meh it depends. Reddit is a toxic shithole of hatred and negative stuff, even hobby forums devolve into "actually" assholes and just constant arguments and nitpicking. Instagram (for me) is memes and funny videos and animals being cute. I heavily prefer the latter.
