On pretty much every subreddit on this site bad faith arguments that agree with a subreddit are upvoted and ones that disagree are... well you already know

I'm sorry but that doesn't make any sense, if you see a lot of bad faith arguments then the assumption people are making about you makes more sense not less. If anything you've confirmed it, people are tired of bad faith arguments so they skim over people's responses and downvote if it even slightly resembles a bad faith argument

Downvotes are not bans though. Many people here probably believe you are arguing in bad faith

To be clear; unlike some other people here I don't think it's morally wrong and I don't care if it makes people less desirable. I say it's "bad" because I think it makes the people doing unhappy in the long run, same way I would say smoking or gambling are "bad". If someone thinks I'm wrong or even that it's statistically true but not for them I'm more than happy for them to ignore me

It's your partner who has a responsibility to you. So yeah, if they cheat it is their fault not anyone else's.

It's spelled that way here in England but not in America I think

I think they mean the prevalence not the importance of individual occurrences. In other words; feminists make it sound like rape is way more common than it is. I might be wrong but I think that's what they're saying.

Correcting them won't help, ignoring them is better, but nothing you said changes my comment or the original one. He was right that respecting women can get you called a simp. It doesn't need to be right, it doesn't even need to make sense, insults are chosen based on what will elicit a response and not based on what is accurate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
