I mean, often asking a woman to smile is a form if harassment. It's usually a statement made to patronize or sexualize a woman ans the person who says this line often has other behavior that shows harassment. The scene in question doesn't necessarily rise to quite that level because he's a total stranger approaching a total stranger...but I see why a woman might have concerns with that encounter. He disrespectfully interrupted her reading after Captain Marvel gave absolutely no indication she wa…

First of all, it's right in the title of the post that OP believes virtually all women are sluts. Those are his words, not mine. Second, I'm not taking away the validity of this passage. There are snakes in the grass and some women will do everything this passage suggests. My issue is taking this single lasagne as a description of all women because it's very clearly not meant to be termed into a generalization of all women. In fact, it's very specifically talking about certain specific women. Mo…

Judge not lest ye be judged isn't in the Bible. The Bible is very clear that improper doctrine should be corrected. Jesus himself bore this out in his actions and called his followers to do the same. Get out of here with this shit.

Oh come on man. If someone is using the Bible to promote false teaching, christians have to stand up against that. How anyone could read the Bible amd justify calling all women sluts is beyond me. Absolutely terrible.

I'm not judging anything, I'm suggesting that he is leaving out key context for Biblical principles. If someone suggested that the Bible supports bigamy because Isaac had two wives, and I pointed out further context, would that be judging?

Before looking at the sawdust in your neighbor's eye, look at the plank in your own eye. A man who is looking to the Bible to inform his relationships and sexual partners doesn't use language that calls all women sluts. There was just as much immorality back then as there is now, that's literally the point of the old testament. If all women everywhere are found lacking, your issue is in how you are measuring, not the subjects of your measurement.

Geez man if you're going to read the Bible you can't just read the parts you like. It doesn't work like that. Some of the most memorable lines in proverbs are about how a good wife is the greatest blessing in the world. And if you believe all women are sluts then you REALLY are missing the point in Ruth, David, Hosea, John 4, Deborah, and many other passages. Get your hateful garbage out of the Bible.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
