I loved The Game by Neil Strauss. I don't really engage in 'pick-up' and realized after reading it that Neil Strauss is 'gaming' his audience in just the same way he games women. Pick-up artists in general 'game' their followers or students or whatever by hyping themselves up, implictly negging you, telling stories that implicitly increase their value, etc. etc. All the same, I enjoyed being charmed by that book, it's a great and fun adventure. I understand there may be an optimal strategy for generating interest from women, but I don't think everything is game just because it's between two people of opposite sexes. If someone asked me to do an assignment, I would avoid them, too. Because why the fuck would I do that? This has nothing to do with seduction or the opposite sex. Apologize to the girl for being ... whatever it is you believe you were to her. Stop using avoidant descriptors like awkward and cringe which address your emotions about the situation, rather than your behavior itself.
