My husband: I had an emergency C-section with our last baby. By the time I was awake my husband had given him his first bottle. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days while he was with our two toddlers. I remember a nurse asking if HE was okay with the kids... I laughed. After we were home he made sure I had all the snacks and drinks I needed, and he did every overnight with the baby. We have 4 kids and I have always gotten 9 hours of sleep a night, even with a newborn in the house. You would never…

Super pregnant woman here (due date was 5 days ago). My husband is great. He does 99% of the household chores since I'm basically too big to move lol. He gets our toddlers up every morning, fed and changed before he leaves for work so I can sleep in. He comes home after work and takes care of toy cleanup, dishes, dinner, etc. On the weekends when he is off work he does 99% of the childcare, all the laundry and deep cleans the house. He is taking 3 months of paternity leave when this baby comes. …

I see so many posts like this. Tbh, a grown man using social media to this level is a huge turn off. I can't even picture my husband being on freaking Instagram or Snapchat without laughing. The fact that this is even an issue in an adult relationship is disturbing.

I did this with my oldest son. I was 19 and terrified to be a single mother. My mom tried to get me to see the light before he was born, but I didn't listen. I ended up a single mom anyway, and years later I finally realized that it was never my job to build a relationship between my son and his father. The best thing I could have done was keep his father as far away from him as possible. Hindsight is a bitch.

I always fought back/retaliated. If he was verbally berating me for hours on end, I'd start yelling and insulting him back. He'd point to scratch marks I left on him (marks I made while he was literally punching me in the face) and say "see look, you aren't the only one with injuries." This made me think we were both at fault and both had to work on things to fix the relationship. The reality was that he instigated every single fight, and would never stop until I reacted or tried to defend mysel…

A lot of women in mommy forums talk about male PPD, and it makes sense. It's easier to think your husband is suffering from something outside of his control, than admit that he's actually just a selfish asshole.

MRA screeches about how fathers are "more than just a paycheck", but how come every time I turn around there's a dude using the fact that he works as an excuse not to participate at home. ESPECIALLY if there's a SAHM. Bro, I don't care if you work 90 hours a week, you still have an obligation to bond with your children.

There is no such things as "she won't let me see my kids." What that really means is "she won't bend over backwards to accommodate me whenever I get the whim to play daddy."

I had a high school boyfriend that was extremely emotionally abusive. Every time I tried to end it, he would threaten to kill himself. After two years, I finally got fed up and called the cops when he mentioned suicide instead of promising to stay with him. The next day at school OUR PRINCIPAL interrupted a rehearsal I was in to convince me to LET HIM DRIVE ME HOME FROM SCHOOL because my ex was "having such a hard time" and "just cares about me so much." I wish I was kidding. I can't tell you ho…

Two things made me sure my husband was "the one": If he became a paraplegic tomorrow, I would absolutely take care of him. Leaving would not cross my mind. I found myself thinking that I hope my future daughter finds someone just like him if she chooses to marry.

First red flag was when he was telling you about all the things he's "going" to do. He's going to ask you out, he's going to "make it so nice", he can't wait until you're his girlfriend.....no, no, no. We call that future faking. LVM want you to feel all those fuzzy feelings without actually putting in any effort. HVM don't talk about what they're going to do, they just do it. They ask you out, they make you their girlfriend. They plan romantic gestures. This dude is a mess. Block, delete.

The same men that complain about women having premarital sex are the same men that complain about not getting laid. If you don't want women to have premarital sex, why are you having premarital sex with them? Morons.

My husband works a blue collar job where 10+hr days are the norm. No matter how late he gets home, he's up to get our toddlers breakfast in the morning. Weekends are strictly family time as well.

Okay. First, absolutely do NOT put your name on a mortgage. If you marry, your name can be added to the deed of the house without having to refinance. But none of that even matters because of this: he “doesn’t believe in marriage” This man is not going to marry you. If you continue the relationship, he will wait right up until June 2021 to propose, and then drag the engagement as long as he can in the hopes that you will give up on marriage. You should not have to drag a man to the altar. You sh…

I (21F) really love my bf (54M) and he's a really great guy. However, sometimes when I say no to sex he beats the shit out of me and threatens to kill me (he had a traumatic childhood). Other than this one small thing he is absolutely perfect! What should I do?

Absolutely not. Not only is spanking harmful to the child, it's straight up lazy parenting. If the only way you can get your child to behave is to physically hit them, you are a shitty parent.

If he says "She won't let me see my kids", RUN AWAY. If he says his kids' mother is "psycho", RUN AWAY. If he has custody of his kids, but always has a female relative babysit, RUN AWAY. If he...actually, nevermind. You're better off just finding a man with no kids.

Men in the 70s and 80s at least did yard work, home repairs, car maintenance, built shit etc. They took their families on vacation and bought their wives jewelry. They weren't sleeping til noon after playing video games all night in their boxers. My dad did all of the plumbing and electrical work in our house, and built two decks and a porch that my mom wanted.

The ability to cope with extreme stress and fatigue without allowing such things to interfere with their responsibilities. If something needs to be done, my husband gets it done no matter how tired/stressed he is. He doesn't whine or bitch about it either. Being tired is not a valid excuse for anything. A lot of men in our generation are just straight up weak. They can't handle any kind of discomfort without whining and moaning and shoving off their responsibilities onto someone else. You want a…

When I was pregnant with our first child, I literally worked and then came home and got in bed. (I could have quit if I wanted, but it was an easy office gig for good money.) When my husband got home from his 10+ hr shifts, he took care of any chores that needed to be done and got me whatever I wanted for dinner. I never nagged or asked, and he never complained. He just did it and honestly, it's what should be expected.

I seriously fucking hate how men get such a pass when they have a baby. "It's different for men!" "It takes dad's longer to bond!" "Your husband will come around once baby is walking and talking!" So the poor mom is supposed to just do everything after carrying the baby for 9 months and recovering from childbirth so her husband can take his time "adjusting". Absolute bullshit.

Exactly. They play it off like their mom just watches the kid while they're working. But it always ends up being while they're working, resting from work, getting ready for work, going out after work, etc. Then on their days off they "hang out" at their mom's house so she'll watch the kid while they lay around and eat her food. But it's only because she "loves spending time with kid!"

Having kids doesn't make anyone low value. But honestly, I've never met a single dad who didn't have a girlfriend/mom/female relative handling the majority of childcare for him. Just be wary of that.

Reminds me of my oldest kid's father. He wasn't even there for the first half of my labor. It was "boring" so he left in MY car, went and cheated on me then showed back up at the hospital piss drunk. Then he got pissed because I snapped at him WHILE I WAS PUSHING OUR BABY OUT. And if you asked him about it today he'd deny any of that ever happened.

I read a post last night from a mom whose boyfriend was abusing her 3 kids. All the kids were under 5 and she said he picks them up by their heads and grabs their throats. Wtf. And she's all like "I'm worried my oldest might say something when he starts kindergarten. Idk what to do, should I tell my boyfriend's parents to talk to him? I really love him, I don't want to break up." Absolutely appalling.

Whenever a guy acts like they don't understand the grey area, ask them what'd they do if a girl started trying to peg him (or some other sex act they find unpalatable) while they were hooking up. Consent is not confusing. They fucking know, they just don't care.

I think women get criticized no matter what they choose. I walked away from a well-paying job (that I absolutely hated) to stay home after my daughter was born. Everyone from my friends, to coworkers, to my own freaking midwife was so judgy about it. Not because they were trying to look out for me, but because they thought it was lazy. In my corner of the world if you aren't earning money, then you're worthless. I think wanting to stay home with your children is a valid choice BUT you need to se…

Shitty fathers need to be shamed more. I'm so sick of men who do the absolute bare minimum being fawned over. I saw a post a few weeks ago by a mom who was in happy tears because her husband was playing with their son. Seriously? My husband playing with our kids is an everyday occurrence (as it should be). It doesn't "make my heart melt" that he pays attention to our children. And honestly, he would be insulted if it did.

TheRedPill is literally nothing more than men projecting their own bullshit onto women. Women are child-like, only care about looks, can't exist without a spouse taking care of them, are shallow and will leave if someone better comes along...no motherfucker, that's YOU. Financial stability and emotional security would be the two biggest things. Also, the main reason I sought marriage was to have children, and he's a wonderful father. I hope our daughter marries someone just like her dad. IF she decides to marry, that is.

I agree with you. There's usually nothing to be gained by responded to such a disgusting proposition. But I think sometimes it's okay to show a little teeth when you've been disrespected. NOT that it matters what he thinks, but: He said that because he thought you were hot. Seriously. If he actually thought you were unattractive, he wouldn't have said a word to you. That's how low life dudes operate. He saw a hot, confident girl, and it bothered him so he tried to take you down a peg. He's still thinking about you. Girl, go get yourself a treat. You fucking deserve it.

It's so fucking toxic how the only thing men value is sex. There are almost an infinite amount of things to enjoy and experience in life, but they can't see past their dicks. Can you imagine obsessing over a fucking bodily urge like this? It's so pathetic.

I think the consensus is ages 20-35 for women are the "optimal years". Although an article did pop up mentioning 25-35 as the best years. Women have been having successful pregnancies well into their 40's for a thousand years. A hundred years ago, families wanted as many children as possible so they started very young. It wasn't because women have the healthiest pregnancies at young age. Unless you're looking to have 4+ children there is no reason you can't start at 30 or later. Men who think it…
