All good. I'm on the older, wiser side of life. I've seen so much human misery/suffering through my work and other experiences. The people suffering are not at fault. They were damaged during their development. If a parent is only going to damage their child and bring more suffering into the world, why not prevent that? Why force that child to be born into a lifetime of pain?

Sorry, there's a lot of comments here. Like I said I didn't really read the other guys post due to his insults. Can you clarify what you're asking, again?

And your opinion on him calling me pathetic with zero intellect? What's your take on that? A person who goes straight to insults loses their audience.

Not sure what you're referencing. I agree there are multiple intelligences which a person can hold. Book smarts, traditional education path, emotional, mechanical Intelligence, street smarts, etc.

They never has an issue the many times I went. People typically can't tell your sexual orientation just by looking at you. If a person is having fun, being courteous, and spending money-there is no reason to even guess the person's sexual orientation. Unfortunately, there's not a lot af lesbian bars around these days.

Who did I belittle? The guy who called me pathetic and said I had zero intellect? I never aim to fight or offend. If someone treats me that way it seems warranted. No productive conversation is going to happen after someone throws insult. See my other comments, no fighting unless initiated by the other party. I'm not a man hater. I wanted to have conversation.

I didn't wanna be rude and not reply. I'm an insomniac too. Maybe we could be friends and talk about this outside of reddit.

I'm with you 💯 about men and child support. There are definitely fucked up situations where the men get screwed. However, I know lots of women who never saw a dime of child support. That fact doesn't make me hate men, just THOSE men. I don't know what paper abortions are, please explain. I would never advocate against rights for men. Seems like feminists are being viewed as purposefully fighting against men. It's hard for me to understand this perspective. I want to talk to people in order to un…

I don't understand what your point is, try harder.

I actually have shit to do. Enjoy your lonely night, hating women.

Freedom: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint Freedom from discrimination, freedom to control which eggs we grow to term-stuff like that. Freedom does not only apply to slavery. There are other things. Sorry, you're so hateful and some woman somewhere did you wrong.

You are so hateful. Must be that lack of feminine love and affection. You just wanna fight, pretty obvious. I have a son, so don't try and pin some hateful bullshit on me. He can be drafted and do all those other things you mentioned. He doesn't whine about it. If you're so upset about the laws, advocate for change. Do you have children? Do you know when women were allowed to officially start working on the railroad? How many women are conductors? Just because women were eventually allowed insid…

Never had that be an issue in my lifetime. I went with my gay friends. The bar owners definitely liked my money. Same with lesbisn bars, straight people were always welcome.

Are you serious? You really believe women had equal or more rights than men in the past?
/r/AntiFeminists10/07/22 02:11 AM

That wasn't my question.

I think there is an extreme purely academic view of feminism and a casual view, where people recognize that historically women have had less rights and different hardships than men. Would you agree?

I did Google them. Found more reputable sources. See my comment regarding the Pew research.

61% of U.S. women in this research. Conducted by Pew, a long time, reputable polling organization. Interesting to see the breakdown in demographics. Educated and younger women say feminist describes them. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/07/07/61-of-u-s-women-say-feminist-describes-them-well-many-see-feminism-as-empowering-polarizing/

I'd love to see where that stat came from. The word feminist has been spun so hard by the media, pundits, etc. Now it's like this weird label people use to justify hating one another. Similar to liberal and conservative. Few people ascribe blindly to one pure ideology. Back to my point, any woman fraternizing with gay men(a historically opressed/marginalized population) is going to be for MORE freedom and rights. Not too many gay people would be down to clown with someone who doesn't support rig…

Most women are feminists. We want freedom and rights. These are the types of women who would be having fun at gay bars. I think you're using some buzzword definition of a feminist as your ideal.

Lies. Most women typically love gay men. Go to any gay bar and you'll see the two groups co-exist in fun-loving harmony.

That's a fucked up situation. Yet, it doesn't seem to justify banning abortion. Abused children, who don't get serious help, grow up with countless problems. People in poverty are more likely to resort to crime. Bringing more unwanted children into the world is a surefire way to increase human misery. With your situation hopefully you learned how to spot red flags in the women you sleep with. People can be monsters, they appear one way but can turn on a dime. I just don't seem to understand your…

There are lots of people who know they are not capable of being good parents. They should be able to decide if they have the ability to parent. Not sure if you've ever spent time around abused/neglected children but it is tragic. The amount of suffering will increase in the world without safe access to abortion. Men and women (the parents) will suffer as well, forced further into poverty. It's sad but we live in a time where having children and the means to raise them well is a privilege. Aborti…

Are you saying that women don't deserve the right to abortion because men can't always consent to parenthood?
/r/AntiFeminists09/07/22 09:51 PM

Men frequently get a say in the matter of abortion. When I had an abortion my partner was a big advocate of the procedure. He knew he wouldn't be able to support a child at the time. Men want abortion as much as women. Is that the question you were asking?

Not sure where you live but circumcision is not common practice in the more liberal areas. I had my son 17 years ago and refused circumcision. I've been a vocal advocate all these years, including educating other women. Circumcision rates are declining in more liberal areas.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
