I think of push and pull. If I'm hitting chest hella hard then I hit back hella hard as well to keep balance.

If you don't kiss her she assumes you're not interested. Also, she'll want to see you more after a kiss.

If the date goes well, kiss her at the end. 3 signs of interest and you're there. Just do it.

I don't agree with a lot of this. It comes across very transactional, and are you having fun? You're not the Borg. To me the fun part is practicing and feeling my instincts refine themselves, not being methodical. I already have a sales job. I LIKE my job and my friends and my hobbies, they're what make me who I am.

Agreed. This isn't about single moms, this is about one asshole.

Did you or did you not take the extreme exaggerated opposite of my point so you could knock it down? It was perfectly clear that I was generalizing but you're being pedantic.

Nice straw man. What I'm saying is that social conditions drive crime. Prevention is important, as is punishment, but do you think the guy who robs a liquor store with a gun is thinking clearly in the first place?
/r/MensRights17/07/16 01:55 PM

Because generally people who commit crimes don't make a risk reward calculation, they're not being rational.

Why can't you complain to HR? That counts as sexism, right?

It's not all women, or all feminists. Don't lump them all in. EDIT - yes this is bullshit, but I want to remind people that not all women and not all feminists are this twisted.

Very true.

Fair rebuttal. I like it. That said, I still prefer to look for other factors and I value sexual experience over purity.

Fair enough, I was just making the point that a simple correlation is not evidence enough to assign cause.

I worry about this all the time, especially as I get older.

Sounds fine, don't worry about the other dude, if she were happy with him she wouldn't have taken the date with you in the first place. It's ok to stumble, just laugh at yourself and show her you're not afraid to be embarrassed.

I would probably turn to face her, put my hand on her shoulder, and say, "oh I'm sorry, am I not paying enough attention to you?" In a playfully mocking way, as if I were talking to a kitten.

Years ago I was on a date with a girl who told me she had been in a lot of messed up relationships. I noticed that the nicer I was to her, the more she started being bitchy to me. As an experiment, I started acting like a total dick on purpose. As if on cue, she relaxed, warmed up, and started flirting again. I decided I wasn't comfortable with all that and let it go. Too much baggage for me.

I found that post extremely valuable, and I've been on seduction forums for years. I've given this advice to my friends until I'm blue in the face but having it confirmed by a girl is very helpful.

Exactly what I was thinking. I hope you explain this to all your guy friends.

I think the point you're trying to make is that even though I approached you, it can still be very unclear whether or not I'm interested, and the excitement that comes from that is part of the attraction. Just because I approached you doesn't mean I'm not still deciding how I feel about you.

I agree. If you had said nothing and just kissed her, she might have gone for it. Good on you for telling her you weren't interested in being friends. Way to take back your power.

I remember watching my friend insult this girl all night, calling her sleazy, etc. Eventually she jumped him, and I remember that as the moment I realized I knew nothing about women.

Shared activities. Meetup.com is a great resource. Play casual sports, go climbing or hiking, etc. Clubs, basically. What are your interests?

You're accidentally setting up your own shit tests. Once you figure out how to stop bringing them on yourself everything gets easier.

You're probably trolling me, but women didn't have equal rights and power hundreds of years ago. They do now. I'm going to stop responding now. Bye.

Yes, that small percentage overrides the entire point...

Women WERE an oppressed class for centuries, but that argument is obsolete. Women now have just about every opportunity men do. True feminism is about equality, and even wants women to be included in the draft. Equal rights, equal responsibilities. Fair is fair.

What did she do that was rude? Did she interrupt and try to change the subject or was she just trying to join the conversation?

Do both of you a favor and break up with him, and get yourself into therapy. Your reaction was waaay out of line, and not how healthy and reasonable people behave. If my gf did that to me we would be over immediately, no turning back.

Gotcha, that makes more sense. Thanks for clarification.

Don't overdo it. Connecting with them is more important than impressing them. I love nerdy girls because I can flaunt my awkward dork flag and they love it. Do you watch New Girl? You should.

Just talk to them. You need to learn social intelligence, and that comes from experience. Get to work.

She sounds psycho, get rid of her, and start documenting her erratic behavior. This is not a good environment to raise a child.

I think chivalry undermines feminism. Women should be paid equally but not expect special treatment.

Would you have a case for defamation of character, lost wages, etc? You should not let this go, go to the news, etc.

You need to find out if this is a deal breaker. What's the exact nature of her objection to pot?

A lot of the gimmicks aren't necessary, and it's really all frame, attitude, and willingness to take risks.

Women don't give good advice on women because they give it from their perspective, not yours. Obviously there are exceptions, and I'm proud to be friends with a few of them. I've noticed that for my own gf, birthdays, anniversaries, and valentine's day are all about social proof. If I do something visible or something she can brag about, I'm good to go.
