Ask for it. I know that sounds intimidating if you're shy, but being very clear about what you do and don't want works rrrrreally well. Knowing what you want is sexy

There's really good advice hidden here. "many indeed get lucky in the sense that they find someone through normal social interactions without putting in much effort (or any effort)". If you want to be that guy, build your social circle. Do fun things with fun people. Some of them will end up being women, who are friends with more women. Eventually you find yourself talking to someone you hit it off with. Do you need social skills and some game to make her interested? Absolutely. Should you be in…

Make friends first, then. Be social, build a social network, women will come.

To follow your analogy, I think ignoring the Professionals is more like going into MMA fight with a background in street fighting. As Bruce Lee said: "my style is no style", meaning he learned from people he found to be close-minded and constrained by their system vs. thinking broader and using more instincts. You can learn from many people or 1 purported expert. If they’ve created a system, it makes it easier to follow for the totally clueless, but is not necessary for everyone.

Sales, in my experience. Entry-level salespeople tend to skew young, competitive, athletic, and impulsive. Lots of after-work drinks at the bar.

Just peak your head out. Listen to an interesting or funny podcast at the gym, or new music. Watch an interesting TV show or movie. Give yourself something to talk about. Also, take a break. Maybe that's a vacation, or a weekend trip with friends, or going to see a concert or game. You might be so keyed up that your stress shows up in conversation.

Know what gym you're at, and who fhe audience is. I went to a Bally's Fitness for years, and it was a well-known meat market. I actually got approached by a woman there while working out, and frankly was a bit annoyed as I had my headphones in and was intensely focused on the lift. Has never happened in smaller gyms (unless I knew the person already). Same thing goes for any location. Pick one where people are trying to meet other people. Don't go to a quiet dive bar to meet women, go to the lou…

Meh. A lot of people are dumb, but a lot of "professional pick up artists" are cringey douchebags. Relying on the experience of me and people I know, even if they haven't quantified their interactions like it's a goddamn FDA panel, is generally a solid strategy. Some of us learned well by doing, and I don't trust anyone who acts like an asshole. That said, some people are in this sub to learn, and some of us are here to teach, and a lot of people decide they're masters because of a little bit of…

Yeah, women in their 30s and older know what they want, generally, in a relationship. There are less games, and honestly more sex since you're a young sexual object to them. Skin can be a little stretchy, but otherwise 10/10 would recommend.

I mean... you're half right. Walking confidently over to someone who's checking you out is a good move. Calling out the eye contact like that? Ruins the moment. Just introduce yourself. The eye contact is the beginning of a conversation, you don't need to start a new one. If you want something to say, it's "I see you looking at me." You WANT her to deny it. You WANT her to blush. She was hoping you didn't see her. She's not sure how she feels about you, was just checking you out. No cringey quip…

Her experiences and mentality are super common. Attractive women often start dating younger, get into relationships with young idiots, then grow up thinking that's normal. Not that they like it, but there's no other choice.

Ok so college is a specific time, but it's pretty easy. Goes like this: 1) Join a group. Greek life is easiest, sports or clubs are fine too. They come with a built in social network, plenty of people who are supposed to meet you. 2) Go to parties. No place is easier to get laid than a college party. Talk to girls, take them home. 3) Host parties: it's critical that this party is good - lots of women, good music, fun activities. Forget approaching women, they'll approach you. 4) Be good at sex: …

Yeah, that's the point of a shit test. Someone asks you a yes or no question, when both yes and no are the wrong answer. You have to come up with a creative answer instead. Ideally a counter-shit test. "Are you into white guys?" is, assuming you are, the perfect response. If she's clever she'll respond back and now you're playing a flirty game of verbal tennis back and forth. If she isn't clever and just had 1 line ready, let her stammer for a bit and then answer for her. "I'll take that as a ye…

That's way too much. Just ask her out like a normal person. If she's only been seeing someone for 2 weeks, she's not that committed. She'll say yes, or she'll say no, but if you wait then she might have a boyfriend and your window will close.

You knew the answer when you asked this question. You want it to be #1, but it IS #2. I'm in the process of writing a book about it. You can learn from guy 2 while still keeping the values of #1. Being flirty but a good guy IS in fact possible. Hell, I have fully platonic friends that I flirt with, talk about sex with, it's fun, we have a good time but clearly aren't hooking up. Making someone feel good doesn't have to be sleazy.

Less likelihood of success, but same story. Just check for a wedding band first. She'll quickly either be ultra flirty or extremely annoyed.

If there's an older woman at the bar alone, walk over and talk to her. If she's interested she will tell you in no uncertain terms within an hour. That's it. It's worked for me a few times. It's honestly a lot easier than seducing 20 year olds, there's just less of them out there.

Replace alcohol with other chemicals your brain can make, i.e. something physical and/or exciting. Dance club, concert, hanging out with a view (i.e. that cool nature spot with the cliff), something that makes her juices go. Actually, my favorite is a comedy club. Not a big name act, a small, shitty club with unknown acts. She'll laugh, feel good, then you have something to talk about after. It's not awkward if she drinks and you don't, just drive and claim you're the DD. Comedy clubs worked 100…

Interrupting someone on their way to go somewhere is the hardest thing ever. It's just annoying. A better line is not the thing. Unless they're slowly strolling, taking in the day, and you're in a park or a boardwalk or something. Then, your line is just "hi," with a soft smile that mirrors hers. Otherwise she's just assuming you're creepy or trying to get her to donate to Greenpeace.

My philosophy on all things, especially this: Try it out with confidence, but pay attention to the results. If it doesn't work, stop or try something different. Accept that you may be doing something poorly. I.e. a genuine compliment on something small is sweet (hey that's a cool shirt, I love that band...I'm Steve btw). An over-the-top compliment to someone you've never met is creepy (hi I think you're beautiful). Pay attention and make your choices based on results, not just whatever random wo…

It's just math. If a girl is 1 in a million, that means there's what, 4000 of her out there? Also, the women you're meeting in you little town are probably not incredible in the grand scheme. Go to a big city and you'll be overrun with smart, sexy women who have their shit together.

The code of a wingman: 1) The wingman shall stay committed to the friend, even if she sucks, until it is clear the other dude is sealing the deal 2) The wingman shall never steal his buddy's girl unless it is clear she's not into him and a swap is warranted 3) A wingman shall not sulk, be boring, or shit talk his buddy. I went to a party and was supposed to catch up with this girl who was very flirtatious. Go back to her friend's house after with 3 of her friends and 1 of mine. On the way it's clear she got too drunk and immediately upon getting to her friend's place starts throwing up in the toilet. My buddy is in another bedroom with 2 of the girls, and conceding defeat, I walk out into the hall and cross in front of the remaining bedroom with the last friend. 1) Figure out the situation. I've been burned trying to big dick guys who turn out to be their boyfriend, gay best friend, brother, or husband. Introduce yourself. 2) Let her spend some attention on that guy. Then get her out. Touching on the shoulder and saying "Hey, I'm headed to [place], wanna get out of here?" Either gets her away with you, or she decides to stay with the other guy and you don't waste your time anymore Occasionally confronting the guy works and they run off, but sometimes yo…

My mantra is "expect the best, prepare for the worst." Let me explain. You have to go into any situation expecting it will go well. Leave worry and doubt behind, just keep telling yourself how great it will be. That shows through your attitude, how you carry yourself, you'll feel more natural, more flirtatious, funnier. I can't stress enough how important this is. It's why people pregame before going out. The right people, the right music, and your vibes should be through the roof. But...are thi…

That's an ego issue. You don't want to feel emasculated? Then don't. Act as if. As in, act as if it's equal, mentally. You don't owe her shit for paying for things, it's just a practical consideration. If she wants to pay for everything, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE. It's a win. Maximum benefit is there. Don't overthink it.

Shiiiit I misheard a woman say "Want to come back to my place? I'll have sex with you!" Apparently there was a "won't " in there somewhere that I misheard in the bar. She wanted to fuck me, but wanted me to think she wouldn't. She wants to feel comfortable with you, full stop. Make that happen. If you don't think she's worth the time, don't. But don't make up dumb excuses about work vs school. Dating women who have actual money when you're a broke college kid is great.

Weird mind fuck that I learned after years: more attractive women skew sluttier. It's a generalization, but I often assumed the other way around. Less attractive women having less attention would have lower standards. Quite the opposite. Women who have been hot for a while are constantly getting attention from men. They started dating younger, having sex younger, and have been more focused on relationships and the physical side of them for a while. Gross generalization, and not true 100% of the …

Fair comment, but think about why you think that. Tools are guys who lack self-awareness. Or...is it they lack self-consciousness? If you're not so self conscious that you're worried about being loud or the center of attention, then trust me, you're a magnet. Magnets repel and magnets attract. Some people will hate you and others will love you, so it's about ignoring the eye rolls and finding those who are attracted.

Dude, he didn't invent the concept. Mystery didn't invent shit, nor was he ever "The World's Best Pickup Artist". That's actually a great reputation to have (even if it's not accurate and seems generally negative). They think you're quiet because you're cool and don't care about them. Whatever you're doing is working, you're cultivating an aura of mystery. Those girls are probably very interested in you. Be direct, ask them out, they'll probably be surprised that you gave them the time of day.

WAY more fun. There's way less pressure, you can bounce banter back & forth with your buddy, it's more of a small party than a date. Going back to your place is just keeping the party going, don't sweat it. Plus if the girls are lame you got to hang out with your buddy.

I'm actually interested in this debate. Do you think the format is bad because it's 1 person attempting to help many people at once and skews towards a lecture? Could it be more helpful if it was more workshoppy, i.e. small groups discussing specific situations and working through them?

With all due respect, you're probably doing a lot wrong that we couldn't possibly know from this post (and it sounds like you don't know, either). Without any specifics, we got nuthin. 1 thing sticks out, though: storytelling. Telling a story is great IF the story is hilarious and/or unbelievable AND it's told in a funny and entertaining way AND it's not too long. Complete side note: the best way to go from conversational to fluent is reading books in that language. It allows you to dissect speech at your speed, not the speed people talk. Look up words you don't understand. It's a long-term goal, but it will probably change your life.

Respectfully, there are elements of the theories and methods out there that range from weird to cringey to creepy, and frankly are unnecessary. I have a take that doesn't require you to be "that guy" to still pull. Studying is great, a lot of people can absorb things quickly. These groups are great to build community and get different perspectives. Sometimes, some people need an expert to point them in the right direction, give them feedback, or call them on their shit.

It's oversimplifying it, sure, but confidence is that key. Looks is a vague category that covers everything from fitness to how you dress to how much sun you're getting to yes, genetic factors. Despite the common opinion here, it can be optimized.

Yes, yes, yes. You want to seem like a creep? Show up somewhere, alone, and hit on every girl you see. Want to have women flock to you? Have female friends who talk about you. A woman who has heard about you either A) Already thinks you're cool, or B) Thinks you're a douche, but can then be blown away by this mythical villain who is actually pretty down to earth and fun to be around. Meh, it's more of an art than a science. I usually had at least 1 nice girl that was totally in the dark, 1-2 bad bitch that knew everything and felt competitive vs. the others. It's great because when 1 annoys or bores you, spend more time with the rest. It is a you-centric strategy, and eventually most of them will want more or move on.
