2	Female applicants to be given preference for firefighting jobs: "preference in selection will be given to female applicants assessed as suitable" Male teacher applicants in elementary education are expected to remain silent. One thing I would rather have is someone physically fit and able performing a rescue. Maybe require a physical ability assessment every year but that leads to political correctness problems. In general women have better flexibility that is extremely valuable for things like confined space rescues. This doesn't mean anything unless comparing the actual abilities of individuals. Changes to an institution's standards of conduct should come via the schools themselves and their stakeholders (students, faculty, alumni, etc). Even if you are a great baseball player, you cant have a beard on the Yankees. This will get downvoted, but Harvard has an existing code of conduct for their athletes that the school felt they violated. Women weren't even fully part of the university until less than 20 years ago. Athletes professional and at many colleges are held to much higher standards than for regular people. For Harvard this is about the Harvard mission which is mostly educational. If there were a woman's team doing similar stuff not being treated similarly that's a right's issue. This case shows that what was done was horrible for this individual and also that conclusion driven science is at best unethical. 37	Pushing Kids Into Transgenderism Is Medical Malpractice There was a case of identical twin boys and one had a botched circumcision (also a men's rights issue) that mutilated his genitals. There was a doctor who felt it was the ideal experiment to test his theory that gender is learned. Needless to say the boy raised as a girl had real issues and eventually was able to live as the male he was but tragically ended up committing suicide. The truth is the real gap is much less than has been stated of 25-30 percent less. Depending on the country, this can vary. For example in the US factoring other factors, the real gap is under 10 percent. This is still a large amount of money over the course of a career.
