Everyone here is obsessed with sex. Personality is much more important in a partner. One day you will both be too old and your bodies will be ravaged by time, and the person who loved you for your personality will still be there. Because your body is not you. Your thoughts make you you. So, physical attraction is not that important.

It’s very brave of you to admit that you only stepped in for the sake of being pedantic and contradictory. This no longer interests me. Have a great day/night.

none taken. gay men choose to GTOW for a lot of the same reasons as straight men, we’re not in the exact same boat but we definitely do exist.

Neither of your opinions hold any value, either. You’re just dismissing my point based on your own preferences. So why don’t you hop off my dick and find something more meaningful to argue about?

I think that most people who have lived in New York more than a year or two would agree with me on this specific point, many of the locations romanticized in movies and on TV are not what they are made out to be. I’m not trying to invoke some sense of authority, it’s just my opinion (based on experience) that this is a very obnoxious place to meet a date. I didn’t realize that the comment section barred any opinions not backed by scientific evidence.

Maybe I didn’t read it correctly. Hence why I said as much in my reply. But he never explained further, so I am left with the impression he was trying to use me to “prove” OP’s point by saying that I have an effeminate mindset, or something along those lines.

I can’t decipher your response. I can’t tell if you’re being homophobic and trying to say I must “think like a woman” just because I’m gay, or if you are getting at something else entirely and I’ve missed the point here.

Ugh. As a New Yorker who has been asked to meet at the clock more times than I can count by friends or family members upon their arrival to the city, it is NOT a cute date spot. It’s loud, crowded, disorienting, and the clock’s building is CIRCULAR, ffs. I’ve been waiting on one side while the person I was meant to meet was around the other side for upwards of 10 minutes since we came from different entrances to the concourse. Then you have to leave directly from there because there is nothing e…

I don’t think anyone actually exists like this except for people who are well below the IQ marker for intellectual disability. (And statistically, women tend to be of average intelligence—any given woman is less likely to be incredibly brilliant, but also less likely to be incredibly disabled. So it’s statistically highly improbable that almost any woman experiences life this way.) Plenty of us don’t have specific goals...we game just for fun, not because we want to become the best at it...pract…

I’m so confused? Isn’t she uncomfortable because he’s married? Anyone decent would be extremely uncomfortable if a married coworker asked them on a date out of the blue. Unsure why Greg being a cheater was any of HR’s business, though. Seems like she should have just alerted his wife.

I don’t mean to be rude but I’m not sure why you expected relationship material or emotional maturity from teenage girls. From any teenager, for that matter. Seriously, two of these incidents took place with girls who were probably under 16 years old at the time, and the other one is still in reference to a highschooler. Why are you surprised that they didn’t respond properly or act maturely? You seem to have emotionally matured earlier than many of your peers. Obviously there’s nothing wrong wi…

Thanks for all the low-effort rage replies. MGTOW advocates for male independence and excellence in light of the fact that the dating & legal systems are rigged against them, and that women fail to meet many of the same standards that they themselves set for men. If this sub has bastardized that core idea to the point of supporting pedophile apologists over a rational critique of a single post, then I would rather be banned than stay here. Have a good day.

100% a valid point but I just don’t think this is the thread to make that point with. Sadly there are abundant examples of this “regret=rape” mentality that could better illustrate the collective insanity of manipulative women. But by now that Twitter thread is full of so many references to child abuse that the original tweet is inextricably linked with them. There are better examples. This isn’t the hill to die on.

It’s not your specific comment but all the people in this thread “get them consenting on video” etc etc. Yes, sadly more often than not, an extreme solution like that would be a good idea. But to comment such things on this thread which for context is referencing a coercion situation—it’s just in bad taste imo. If it seemed like I was directing my statement specifically at you I apologize, I was basically just jumping off my previous thought.

Legally, a 13 year old cannot consent. So actually, anything that happened to her was rape. Statutory rape. You need to seriously rethink your position if you’re arguing that a MIDDLE SCHOOLER deserved to be raped. And the fact that you can’t see in hindsight that there was probably some coercion or other unsavory stuff going on behind the scenes to contribute to extreme/deviant sexual behavior in someone who was barely a teenager is super unsettling as well. So, yeah, the fact that you’re using…

Biiiig pedo vibes here. Yikes. Might want to watch the kind of people you let in here.

Maybe people should try looking at what they’re responding to on a case-by-case basis so you don’t end up with a comment section like this, bashing survivors of child molestation! Because, news flash: it makes you all look like pedophile apologists! You dislike being tarred with the same brush when women do it—“all men are trash!”, etc.—so perhaps you should avoid doing it back. I thought MGTOW was about taking the high ground and disengaging with the bs that women tend to bring to the table. Sa…

Maybe you should read the thread before commenting the usual “oh women are attention whores” stuff. People in this thread are coming forward with descriptions of being assaulted at ages as young as 4 and generally ranging around the lower teens. Male survivors are being accepted in this thread as well. You can never justify the assault of a child. Regardless of gender. Never. What the author of this tweet is referencing is the gradual realization over time that one was groomed as a child into be…

I think MGTOW has a questionable reputation among members of the general public who subscribe to traditional ideas about relationships and life fulfillment, etc. I won’t lie and say that there aren’t people who take it too far and use the label of MGTOW to act aggressively toward women in general without provocation. However obviously this isn’t the goal. MGTOW have purposely distanced themselves from “incels” and the like for a reason. I would suggest presenting this issue to your therapist in …
