| 1 | Update on the school girl hitting the school boy last week.Does this seem very poorly written to anyone else? I don't claim to be a great writer but it was painful to read. For instance, it uses subjective terms such as "appalling," "disgraceful," and "sickening" -- not directly quoting anybody. Also I know in the UK they say "mum" but wouldn't "mother" be more appropriate? Maybe this is just some tabloid that is speaking the language of its readers. | 1 | Personal Protection While Sarging [x-post from r/BayAreaSeddit]I know you probably didn't mean it this way, but I wanted to point out that this isn't generally how self defense with a firearm works: you wouldn't shoot someone AFTER getting punched. Ideally you would recognize a potential threat before it came to that. If you're serious (some may call it obsessive) about self defense, you would not allow anyone to even approach you unless their intentions are clear.
