Get off OLD… learn good places to meet people (not clubs or bars), and stop spending 6-10 hours a day staring at your screen. This isn’t rocket surgery…

Curious, did you wait a bit to share that, or did they rudely ask and you answered?

I’m not complaining about anything, I just think I in general, the typical male and female that post on this sub is broken, and makes sweeping generalizations that come across childish and frankly, simplistic. I’ve been married for 20 years, so check your assumptions about me at the door.

Problems and stress don’t solely arise from housework…

Do you think women don’t “create more stress and problems” in a man’s life? Is it possible that relationships are hard, and that people (not women or men in particular) are getting less out of a monogamous partnership than ever, to the point the problems and stress are outweighing the benefit?

I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of responsive desire, which is more prevalent in women. I see it in the expectation that women will say, some guys (average guys) will give them the ick, or there is no spark, and if the guy pushes, he is coming on too strong and not picking up on queues she’s giving that she is not attracted… however, if he pulls away and then pushes is, doing the push pull, it’s a game, and a red flag. Historically, average guys could use this “strategy” as a way…

Apparently you missed the statement “don’t seek relationships in OLD”… OLD is for hookups, and clearly women have the power in hookup culture.

Bingo… made a similar comment up thread. I’m a male in my 40’s, I’ve been married for 19 years, together for 23, and it wasn’t easy back then either. Men from my perspective dated a wide range of women when they were young, basically just seeking sex, and then took a more holistic approach (higher standards for the whole package) when looking for a long term partner. Women are just more selective when it comes to unattached sex than men are. And can you blame them, the risk to young women gettin…

And men don’t do this? I think a man will overlook a lot of shit for an 8-10… shit like decorum, kindness, respect and mutual effort. I’ve seen this so many times. When men seek one night stands, they will tend to shoot their shot as high as possible looks wise, with little to no regard for standards in personality. When men really want to settle down, they tend to pursue their looks match, and have higher standards. This sub-Reddit is ridiculous.
