I think what OP was referring to the roles men, especially as fathers, have played throughout history. You know, protector and provider. This refers to men who have worked in hard labor and very dangerous situations. A big part of this subreddit is recognizing that challenge men have faced. Of course, another big part of this subreddit is the desire for that to change. So, OP wasn't trying to undermine mothers but trying to recognize the burden that has been placed on men for so long.

Someone has probably already mentioned this, but male disposability is ringing in my brain. In order to survive, women could only bear one child at a time, while men could produce many. Therefore, women were valuable for just existing, but men would have to be more useful. Animals that feel no emotions seem at lot more useful and easy to control than animals that have a lot of emotions and constantly ask for help. All of this. Not only did this reporter manage to downplay the victim, but from the very beginning she pretty condescendingly criticized men in general. Maybe I'm jumping too conclusions, but this is a sad and and sensitive issue and should have been treated as such.

It's looks like a bad movie, and I'm sure most people will agree that it's a bad movie, but it not getting publicity for the fact that it's disgusting towards men means that the world is okay with it. If there was a movie about killing and torturing women, it would be on the news for weeks even if it was a horrible. movie We see men tortured and killed all the time in movies. We just don't care about it.

I actually don't think it does. We see the woman's poem as shallow. We see that in the "Woman's Poem" all she wants out of a man isn't a companion but a robot to do all her bidding. However, the tone of this passage suggests that the woman is in the right.

I actually just had a similar conversation with my mom when I saw that she had liked the post. I have to say I believe you're completely right, and I realize now that there wasn't much sense in posting the this to Reddit. However, I'll still stand by the fact that jokes that are negative toward men appear to receive more acceptance than jokes negative toward women.

Thanks for the comment. I wish it was possible, but due to general female nature it probably isn't. Stardusk has a wonderful video that discusses this issue. In fact, I wouldn't be too hopeful for myself. Very often I find some of the worst aspects of female nature in myself. EDIT: I should also mention that females who support men's rights may not deserve all the credit we get.
