I disagree that they keep “only a few people content” though. Customers love the service. Governmental intervention is a tool for weak people without leverage. It keeps people dependent on higher authorities, erodes autonomy, and will bite you when establishing your own business. It's extremely non trivial, and the fucker has put all kinds of roadblocks in the way via legislation, but enough people are sick of the Bezos shit that they're willing to entertain alternatives.
