Then you can just choose not to share that information with those parties. Unless they covertly get samples and sequence it themselves (like by collecting your poop or “asking for a drug test”) that is. They can just do that anyways, even without the state sequencing every baby at birth.

How would whole genome sequencing cause suffering?

This makes a lot of sense in my opinion. You would know exactly who the biological mother and father is with absolutely zero doubt and healthcare services (both prevention and treatment) could be customized for each and every individual. Everyone would know what all of their unique risk factors are, so they would be able to live accordingly.

You could take out the favoritism without necessarily needing to have a greater focus on exams. Maybe you could have more homework assignments and projects that are graded in a more objective manner, through structuring assignments in such a way that the graders bias does not show in the actual grades.
/r/MensRights23/08/24 03:09 PM

So that means a greater focus on exam scores helps boys? That seems very counterintuitive.

That’s how it should be! After all, that’s how gender equality works.
/r/MensRights20/08/24 12:38 PM

You’re stating an opinion (that men’s lives are worth less) as if it were a matter of fact. Believing this would certainly have been useful for tribal societies, where losing women would have been much worse than losing men, but we don’t live in such societies now. We live in the modern world, and we can see past the gender bias that is hardwired into us, instead choosing to recognize that both genders have equal rights and equal worth.
/r/MensRights19/08/24 12:39 PM

So you believe in sexism and misandry?
/r/MensRights19/08/24 01:39 AM

In strength tests the 90th percentile women tend to be as strong as the 10th percentile men. Conscripting men specifically also means conscripting from that 10th percentile as well, unless you set strength requirements that exclude all of those people. No, men are far more disposable than women in society. Which is the problem. The lives are men are seen as being worth less than the lives of women, which shows the inherent sexist bias in society that must be dismantled.

So far, the only Matt Walsh videos I have seen is: his documentary called What is a Woman his video calling out Gregg Abbot for his law suppressing free speech on college campuses his satirical “apology video” to pit bull owners I agreed with all 3 of these things, so he definitely seemed like a great guy.

I don’t want women on the front lines any more than I want men on the front lines. Do you not believe in equal rights for men and women?
/r/MensRights18/08/24 03:33 PM

The point is that nobody should be forced to fight or barred from fighting because of gender. There’s also plenty of weak men and strong women out there, so doing a blanket “make the men fight and not women” would mean sending in weak men over strong women. What matters more is the value of human lives. The life of a man is worth just as much as the life of a woman, so we shouldn’t be sacrificing male lives over female lives.
/r/MensRights18/08/24 03:30 PM

I’m saying we should be gender neutral about it. First of all, don’t force anyone into combat who doesn’t want to fight. If the father volunteers and the mother doesn’t, send the father. If the mother volunteers and the father doesn’t, send the mother. If they both volunteer, then send either one without any gender based preference.

I know that conservatives do support traditional gender roles, including those that are harmful to men. I was quite surprised by how Matt Walsh specifically made such a blatantly misandric post.

I just found out about this 11 days ago too, right after I posted a comment on that subreddit. This is even though I’ve been active on this subreddit for a very long time. My guess is that when I posted that comment, their bot scanned my profile and saw that I was an r/MensRights poster.

How would expecting men to serve women and make sacrifices for women just because they are women not be oppressive to men? It would be like saying that slavery is oppressive to the slave owners because it implies that the slave owners are unable to do the work themselves.

I don’t see how it is possible for someone to think that they somehow have some sort of obligation to accept abusive behavior from strangers. If someone violates you, you should fight back.

That’s probably the purpose behind having that “1cgcp91” part then, since that would let you change the post title and still maintain the url. If Reddit wanted to, they could add in a title editing feature. The only other possible consideration would be search engines. Having an unchanging title would make it easier to find a post by Googling or searching on Reddit. If the title changes, on the other hand, you might be unable to find a post that you have previously seen even if you remember the …
/r/MensRights30/04/24 06:12 PM

Unfortunately, you cannot edit post titles after a post is made. The post title is also what determines the post url, so that’s one reason behind why it can’t be edited, as urls need to be permanent. In a text post, you can edit the body content but not the title. For that reason, it’s a good idea to double check grammar/spelling of the title specifically before making the post, as you cannot change it afterwards.

Would you rather live in India or the US? Most Indians would strongly prefer to be in the US where they can possibly make a ten fold higher salary. You can get the greencard by being married to an American citizen and living in the US: https://www.boundless.com/immigration-resources/marriage-based-green-cards-explained/ It is a long process, but much shorter than other immigration paths. A marriage based greencard takes about 18 months on average according to the article. Most Indians (who immig…

You don’t have to go to jail though, and there are other options. You can rebel, and probably get killed. You could flee to another country and seek asylum, but you’ll never be able to return back to your home country. You could also find loopholes or exceptions to get out of conscription.
/r/MensRights10/07/22 10:37 AM

You either risk dying in combat by going along with the forced conscription or you risk dying by resisting the forced conscription. Why not resist? The risk is the same. There seems to be no advantage in cooperating with forced conscription.

When someone loses an argument, they resort to emotional appeals, which is what you did. It is very clear that either you didn’t read properly, or you don’t know what post-industrial means.

The lack of proof that something is true is not proof that something is false. You don’t live in an unregulated and post-industrial economy, so you have no idea what an unregulated and post-industrial economy would look like. Just because companies take the bare minimum of precautions in a regulated economy doesn’t mean they will do the same in an unregulated economy, because an unregulated economy is fundamentally different and people’s behaviors will be fundamentally altered as a result. Unsafe workplaces need to pay higher wages to attract workers, while safer workplaces can pay less, so it would offset the cost. Companies don’t usually spend any money on optional safety procedures probably because workers believe that the required safety measures are enough. If the safety regulations weren’t there, people looking for jobs will consider workplace safety as part of their job search, and be willing to take jobs that are safer but pay less salary, which gives the financial incenti…

Individual employees don’t need to be educated on workplace safety to avoid dangerous workplaces. Instead, you can have rating agencies give guidance on what workplaces are safe and unsafe. If you don’t trust privately owned rating agencies, you can have the regulatory bodies do it, but give guidance and suggestions rather than regulations. Instead of forcing workplaces to abide by certain rules, you certify the ones that do and encourage people to choose the safer options. It’s like USDA organi…

There’s no problem with using society as a term to describe where we live. I stand with my earlier statement. So you just choose to dismiss my counter argument instead of actually trying to understand it?
/r/MensRights23/06/22 03:09 AM

Your argument is “society decides and society provides”. The problem is that the word “society” is very broad. society is the one deciding the prisoner must be locked away Those who are eligible to vote vote for representatives who decide to make laws which a criminal chooses to break and get locked up for. Here it is the voters who are indirectly making the decisions through the democratic system. it’s incumbent on [society] to provide for them Here you are referring to the taxpayers not the vo…
/r/MensRights23/06/22 02:47 AM

Even if you disagree with that argument, making prisoners work is better than the alternative that is taxation. Instead of having the taxpayer pay for the expense of the prisoner, the prisoner should pay his own expenses through his own labor. Would you rather enslave the prisoner or the general public? The choice is obvious.
/r/MensRights23/06/22 02:21 AM
2

Work done in prison is not slavery, because it was the choice of the prisoner to commit the crime that got them sentenced, and that’s why the thirteenth amendment has that exception.
/r/MensRights23/06/22 02:16 AM
2

National service shouldn’t be regulated, it should be abolished instead; arguing that national service should be regulated is saying that slavery should be regulated. I’m not against regulating prison labor.

Working conditions are something that should be negotiated between the employer and the employees, not imposed by the government. People can just choose not to work in an unsafe job. You aren’t going to starve if you reject an offer for an unsafe job, because you can just find a different one that is safe. The argument that “you had no choice because the other choice is starvation” only applies if there is only one choice. In the real world, there are near infinite ways of making money.

“force someone else to work” Give me an example of an employer that forces people to work for them.
/r/MensRights22/06/22 02:13 PM

Forcing someone to comply is by definition a violation of freedom. Even the person on the other side of the transaction has his freedom taken away, because he doesn’t have the choice (to work the “dangerous job”) that the government took away.
/r/MensRights22/06/22 12:16 PM
4

No, we don’t need regulation. It’s like the gender wage gap myth. Women tend to earn less because they tend to choose lower paying jobs, and men tend to have more workplace deaths because they tend to choose more dangerous jobs. The government shouldn’t be regulating people’s choices, because that takes away people’s freedom.

I think it should depend. If both parents want custody and fight for it, then the one who took custody and all the rights should pay for the privilege. If neither parents wants custody, then whoever is willing to do it anyway and take the responsibility should get the payment. If one parent wants and another does not, the parent that wants will get it and no payments should be made. This assumes that both parents are willing to care for the child.

That’s a perspective I never hear. The feminist narrative is that “boys being boys” allows men to commit crimes free of consequence.

Being a stereotypical boy is seen as being a mental illness? If you create a stereotype and then demonize it, that’s the perfect excuse to discriminate.

I think men should be able to get a paper abortion. Is that something you agree with?
/r/MensRights29/06/21 08:58 AM

Reality is child support, aside from what it's intended for, is used as punishment for men who "abandon their families." Have you heard of paper abortions for men? A man should be able to abort his responsibility for a child the same way a woman can abort a baby. If the man gets a paper abortion, 100 percent of the financial burden should fall on the mother. If the mother doesn't want the financial burden, she can get an abortion.

What if the child decides to become an atheist on his/her own? Will you be tolerant of your child's views? Tolerance is the first step. If you can tolerate, that is almost good enough. But you can do better. Christianity because it has cultural and traditional significance in my life and community. It’s also something I believe in and frankly it’s my choice and my right to practice my faith and teach it to my child. Teach them about all about Christianity once they have critical thinking skills …

It's the child's decision though. Teach your child about different religions and other ideas like atheism, and let the child come to his or her own conclusion. There are online sources about this. Children should be given the critical thinking tools to form their own tools, not indoctrinated with religion at such a young age where children think everything they hear is fact.

By fixing the cause of crime, you also fix the effects. Where’s the logic in only focusing on the effect? It’s like putting a bucket under a leak rather than fixing the source of the leak I don't think the government should be fixing neither the cause nor the effect of crime. Just punishing the criminal is the goal. Preventative measures violate one persons liberties to protect another’s. Security is a right, not a liberty. I'm talking about liberty strictly in a negative sense. And I’d argue th…

They still have to commit a crime in the first place, it still leaves the opportunity for a absolute nutter to get their hands on a gun if they have no previous convictions. Mental health can also develop later in life, and requirements are a current preventative measure for a reason I think the goal of the government should not be to prevent crime, but to punish criminals. In this instance, a public health intervention to stop the spread of STDs - or any infectious disease - helps not only those individuals that currently have the disease, but also those in the wider public who might come into contact with them in the future. STDs are spread through intercourse, and you aren't going to be having it with the general public. If someone does want to though, then the test will be beneficial but only…

Taxes are taken for those roads you use, the electricity you use, the logistics and laws people mostly follow. Then you impliment user fees to charge users. VMT fees to charge people for road usage. Electric bills pay for electricity. Water bills for water. You don't need taxes to fund those things. You're an idiot if you think taxation is needed for those programs. People should pay for what they use, the taxpayer shouldn't pay.

you are encroaching on the freedoms of the potential victim, their rights to be safe and protected by law in society and be able to call out injustice or wrongdoings against them You dont have to jail people to protect the victim, there are better ways to protect the victim. This is not about who is given favor over the other.

That’s why I don’t mind that people have to spend two days in prison for security reasons. An innocent person should never have to spend a single second in prison. If you don’t think asking for respect when it comes to how someone identifies themselves is ok Let's say I identify as the f-word or even the n-word. Would you be willing to say the word whenever you want to call someone? I'm not saying that calling somone the pronoun they want to be called is like saying the f-word, I'm making a different point. The point is that you can't make people call you something you want to be called.

Respect could mean doing literally anything. It could be as mundane as saying "thank you" to respect someone's kind actions or it could be as insane as always saying good things about the government and never saying bad things about the government to respect the government. So "all I ask for is respect" is not a good argument. they just ask that you try To tell a lie that is. Also, there's no need to try. Don't make pronouns more complicated than they need to be.

Replace the words "you" and "person" with "biologicial women", and replace "octopus" with "biological man", and you see how the logic plays out. I’d say it’s ridiculous for you biological women to be an octopus man because no person biological woman has ever biologically been an octopus man. If a biological man can be a woman, than a biological human can also be an octopus.

That might be for other people. When talking about the draft, I will vocalize my anti-draft position, even if women aren’t a part of the conversation.

Or we could just abolish the draft instead.

I don't think we should be agreeing to abortions because a child will be a burden to our bank account. That's not where we disagree, we disagree on weather or not a fetus has rights; this is also what I say to people who think that pro-life is sexist.
/r/MensRights02/02/20 03:28 AM

They are both people and a financial burden. Saying children are a financial burden doesn’t dehumanize them, it just states the fact that children are supposed to be taken care of.

I can partially agree now, because class time is not time for socializing; certain courses do benefit from mixed gender though, so it would be better to leave schools themselves unsegregated but then segregate a select few courses that will benefit.
/r/MensRights26/01/20 03:09 PM

reintroducing separate schools for boys and girls Grades in schools aren’t the only thing that matters, because people should learn to communicate with the opposite gender; also imagine the hyperfeminist nonsense that would be happening in the girl’s schools.

Making the men’s the gender neutral restroom entails woman walking in and potentially watching a man “relieving himself” into a urinal. That’s the whole reason why I think the gender segregation should exists (except for the fact that bathroom stalls have large gaps in them, that can easily be solved). The ideal thing to do is to have a small restroom devoted to urinals which is men’s only, and then a larger gender neutral restroom.

Use the female restroom and tell them you identify that way!

Is there like a way to marry that voids the spouse the right to alimony? Each couple should make their own decisions on what the terms of marriage are. By default, each partner in a marriage should keep what they already have, because the rules on what should happen by default should be plain and keep things the same?
/r/MensRights23/01/20 10:39 PM

Not when it comes out of a joint account she doesn't contribute to, that's not legally enforceable. (aka marriage) That’s why you shouldn’t have a joint account.

I also thought that, although their arguments were seemingly neutral. These are the common arguments I heard: “Marriage makes it so that the wealth is held as a family and not an individual, so the wife should also be able to access the money.” No, not every married couple wants to mingle their assets; according to this argument, the husband could have the same access, which the people accepted when I asked them, as females can also receive inheritances. ”They save on interest if they pay it ear…

Just like in school, being in charge does not mean people will obey you. I found that out the hard way. Worse those employees may unionize to demand you do more. It is bad that unions have special privileges. I could negotiate in a manner where I do not compromise on anything. I would also refuse to sign any bargaining agreements I don't agree with. Also you need to convince customers to hire & or buy from you. I think that would be sales, not leadership. Real leadership is defined as getting pe…

I agree with you on that, but being a male gives you a better ability and mindset to earn money, which is higher than the favors attracted by a female; but the discrimination men face might actually tip the scale in favor of women.

but we've been brainwashed into denying reality because it offends people. This Google employee was fired for saying that men and women are different, do I agree with you; while the brains of the genders are different, they each have their own benefits, but I do think the benefits of being male outweigh the female benefits.

Women have the advantage in the adult entertainment industry anyway. blue collar jobs: men are advantaged because they have 2x greater muscle mass Doesn’t that justify higher wages for the them? white collar jobs: men are advantaged because they have 15% larger brains Sources? Choices are also a huge factor in this. Women are less focused on work, more focused on family, are less willing to work more dangerous jobs, demand more job flexibility, etc..
/r/MensRights24/12/19 04:24 PM

There are other factors like job flexibility, workplace danger, and other factors that contribute to this gap; sources claim that there is still a pay gap but it is so insignificant that it might just be a coincidence. The gender pay gap has already been proven a myth, and I have a bunch of sources to back that claim: https://time.com/3222543/wage-pay-gap-myth-feminism/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/evangerstmann/2019/06/06/dispelling-myths-about-the-gender-pay-gap/#56be584f46fa https://www.googl…

Feel free to show anyone that believes in the wage gap this comment The wage gap is a hoax that has been debunked; according to a Harvard Study, these gaps in income are because of women’s career choices and that men work longer hours, it is not because of sexism. I have a bunch of articles supporting the fact that the wage gap is a debunked hoax: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/karinagness/2016/04/12/dont-buy-into-the-gender-pay-gap-myth/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.t…

I just think that everyone should just have equal privileges, but “balancing the scale” is atleast a lesser evil than leaving it imbalanced.
/r/MensRights21/06/19 12:03 PM
1

But it makes sense to take away privilege in one area (like family matters, government positions, and religion) in exchange for giving privilege in another area (priority in survival situations, and gaining more protection from other people).
/r/MensRights21/06/19 11:16 AM
1

Ok
/r/MensRights21/06/19 10:56 AM

If we have a scale, the being unbalanced means someone has privilege, and being balanced means nobody has privilege.
/r/MensRights21/06/19 09:09 AM
1

The women’s rights movement gave women any privilege they didn’t previously have, but they didn’t remove the special treatment. Since women still have special treatment, the scale is now unbalanced.
/r/MensRights21/06/19 04:33 AM
1

Look at history!
/r/MensRights20/06/19 05:46 AM
1

It would because having more privilege in one area makes the scale imbalanced, so there needs to be a loss in privilege in another area, to make the privilege balanced.
/r/MensRights20/06/19 04:41 AM
2

But wouldn’t that special treatment naturally come with less privilege?
/r/MensRights18/06/19 03:43 AM

That makes sense. Except that special treatment usually comes with less privilege.
/r/MensRights18/06/19 03:42 AM
