a class action will take on the costs for you, this is no different than the class actions against Facebook and Google in our state in recent years. The reverse image search to identify is blatant violation

In some states it is illegal. Illinois has a law called BIPA (Biometric Information Privacy Act) - its been in the news over the years for class action lawsuits against Meta, Google and so on. I believe the only other states with as strong of privacy laws atm are Texas and Washington

I only heard about this app an hour ago after seeing a article pop up in apple news and its been bothering me since The concept is just gross. Who thinks its a good idea to post peoples pictures and "review" them anonymously on the internet? This is basically revenge porn. In Illinois, it is illegal - you cannot use people's photos to search for them without consent. I dont like my personal information being out in the open. This app is in gross violation of Illinois state law at a minimum (BIPA class action lawsuits here are notorious). Is there anyway to see if you are on the app? I will happily sue if I am on it.
