I propose a new Act in memory of Ross , “Bullock’s Law”. When one accuses another of rape, both parties shall be kept anonymous until a judgement has been made by the authorities. A claim deemed to be false will then fall back onto any existing legislation so the “Perjurer” can be dealt with accordingly. I’m at a mental health clinic and have seen this poster many times during my time in the waiting area. I know we often see a lot of posters and pamphlets that seem to aim their literature at female victims of abuse... but it’s nice to see these posters around. Not actually nice, it’d be better if society didn’t need these posters... but you get what I mean, right? Right?!

I agree with a lot of what you say, in fact some of it has made me think a little differently, so thanks for that. However, that being said, I have an issue with the state of mind to not be able to take the solution/advice on board. You mention emotional validation, but doesn't offering emotional validation/support go without saying? I'd say, from when I've been offered emotional support, that it even goes as far as to help remedy the situation in it's own right.

All the cities I've lived in within the UK, I've never known a pregnant women, a member of the elderly or a member of the disabled to go without on public transport. I've even seen the loudest, most obnoxious teenager become a polite man to an elderly woman to offer the two-seater he occupied, himself, to her. There's hope!
