If you're already regularly going to the gym then just staying consistent with that is the most important thing. Don't starve yourself and be so low energy that your workouts/gains suffer.

Ok but have you tried dieting and exercise?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/24 04:26 PM

If you're the kind of person who consistently downvotes the other party in a back and forth, please grow up and stop being so angry/defensive. I understand it's a miniscule amount of energy to hit the downvote button a few times, but the mental relief from learning how to let go of your pettiness is priceless.

You mean for a woman? If so, why is that?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 04:03 PM
1

Yeah, and I can understand discontent in the wading phase. Which is why I feel like for a lot of the single guys on here, they'd be better served learning how to hone in on a person with long-term compatibility, rather than just rolling the dice on literally any moderately attractive female
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 03:52 PM

Nah that's ok, just wanted to get an idea of how often this happens for other people. I'm not very social, so when it happened with my wife, it was pretty obviously worth pursuing. I just feel like a lot of unhappy people spend too much energy casting a wide net and then complain about catching garbage.

Was this the only girl you've spent the night talking with? Just wondering what the "success" rate of this type of situation is, since it's only happened to me once, with my wife.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 02:54 PM

I just personally am not social enough to spend all night with enough interest and energy to talk to someone and then have no interest to see them again. To have it happen multiple times for you, I guess it just seems strange to me. Of course, I recognize that I'm highly introverted and low energy.

"my friend is still beautiful even with the [100 lb] weight gain" I just have a hard time trusting any woman to honestly state how attractive their friends are. White lying is just so ingrained in general female culture, let alone blatant misrepresentations of the truth. And yes I know men are delusional too. It just seems women moreso

Wow kinda surprised at the turnaround. Like I get that young single mothers still have time to grow up etc., idk I just feel like if I were a woman getting pregnant out of wedlock would be like the worst thing imaginable

I don't understand. Do you just think this scenario can never be true? There's no reason to effectively call the man a liar just because you feel defensive towards women

Yes it's natural to feel insecure. Generally these insecurities negatively impact people. If you want to assert that you have no issues because of this or that your insecurity is relatively minor, I'm not trying to argue that I really don't care. I'm not saying I don't believe you. Generally when people make insecure comments, it is something that affects them. I wouldn't say "the therapy industry has brainwashed us into thinking a healthy dose of insecurity is a problem." This is just more mode…

/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/23 11:02 AM

Maybe that was you. And I get that that's a common phrase that people like to say. That doesn't mean it's applicable to every situation. Like, you say "everyone" and the op was saying just women, that men never treated her poorly (not saying they necessarily had noble reasons, but that's beside the point). So I think that's a very important distinction to make. That it's not "everyone" but "women." I'm also curious, then what are your thoughts on op saying she was once almost bullied to suicide?…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/23 10:47 AM

https://imgur.com/a/4R79cfg Remember people, victim blaming someone for getting bullied and feeling suicidal is bad. Unless you go against the sisterhood, then it was probably your fault and you must have done something to deserve it. Seriously, I hate the inc31s on here, but the no brain blues and purps make me even more frustrated.

I've had the good answer this whole time. You have no idea how to logically string thoughts together. Again, it's amazing you can form complete sentences. Thanks for giving my wife something to laugh at though, she said your discourse is on par with Instagram comments.

I literally step by step pointed out the faultiness in your logic by defining fat as "huge" and why even with the article you linked, Europeans would still view the word "huge" differently. You have over twice as many obese Americans as Europeans. If you don't think literally over double the amount of obese people is enough to skew perception of the word huge... fine. Let's ignore all of that and I'll do what you said. Let's compare Ethiopia and the West. Okay, so Ethiopians and westerners would…

Yes, over half of Europe is fat. That is the correct interpretation of my definition of fat. I guess this is supposed to be some sort of gotcha? I really don't understand. Like what is the PURPOSE of this data? What is the point you are trying to convey? You have not actually made any real declarative statements in your past two comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/23 06:25 AM
1

I mean I don't know why you think this one link really means anything but ok I'll bite. First off, you're completely ignoring the fact that your definition is still subjective. Providing data that illustrates the "growing obesity crisis" doesn't change this fact that you're still defining the word "fat" subjectively. So it really doesn't seem like you're arguing in good faith. You're not trying to get us both on the same page. You just want to feel validated about what you already believe. Secon…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/23 02:51 PM
1

Ok well your definition is subjective, whereas I've attempted to define the word objectively. With your definition, it would be impossible for people to have agreements on whether or not someone is fat. Huge to a European is vastly different from huge to someone in the southern United States
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/23 02:36 PM
1

"fat" has no clear definition. A common one is "excess flesh." Thus, I view being overweight the same as being fat. If you disagree then how would you define whether someone is fat or not?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/23 02:29 PM

I mean you literally called her not fat when she is objectively overweight. It is impossible for her BMI to be under 25

Yeah but tbh even if I ate a 3 star michelin sandwich, I'd say man they made me a really good sandwich, not they cooked me one. Definitions of cooking emphasize the element of heat in cooking, but even if a sandwich was heated or oven baked or whatever, it just feels weird to me to say you "cooked a sandwich." I could say, oh you cooked a really nice roast to shred and make a sandwich with, but I would never say you cooked a roast beef sandwich. But look, I recognize that I am autistic and canno…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 09:51 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 05:44 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 05:23 AM

Not trying to attack you personally, I just want to say as an "Asian" man that I hate how this word is supposed to be a catch-all for an entire continent in the western world, but you would never catch actual Asians talking this way. Just like how people in the West would say Canadian, American, or Mexican to describe someone from those respective places and not use a catch all term like North American, Asian people typically are going to be more specific with countries because we recognize that…

kinda sad that people are getting so defensive about what you're saying even though you tried to make it clear you're talking about the past. I consider myself very progressive which is why I acknowledge that in the past, a more conservative society would wipe the floor with a more liberal one. If you have a nation of rash, impulsive men with likewise leaders, they're gonna run through a similar nation with other things being equal (population size, resources etc.)

Strange, most of my conversations do NOT start by asking easily googled information. Because that's not a conversation, that's one person asking an easily googlable question. If the people you associate with frequently ask questions or start conversations based on something that they could easily take 3 seconds to search and figure out on their own, then maybe associate with people who value the time of other people.a bit more. God bless have a Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄

/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 11:52 PM

Okay, where are all the interstate Bros then? They don't exist, because the whole premise of being a passport bro is to maximize your economic advantages in dating, and the difference between California and Arkansas is nothing compared to Arkansas versus the Philippines
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 10:13 PM

God you're so regarded. Why are you this regarded? Don't answer that's a rhetorical question. Bye.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:34 PM

Right obviously that would be the case if they take this course of action. It's just that the vast majority of passport bros remain delusional and act as if there's nothing shameful or embarrassing about the fact that they literally gave up dating in their own country. So I just wanted to ask to see how many passport bros are willing to come out and say yeah it's really sad and embarrassing but I don't care anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:32 PM

Lol and you sound like a sad individual if you can't understand why people care about things that don't directly concern them. That's how society progresses right? Everyone just minds their own business and doesn't try to get involved in things that don't directly concern them. Obviously I'm not saying this comment in this daily thread is going to do anything. But when you have no arguments other than "why do you care? You must be jealous" then you seem really really really defensive
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:29 PM

Look buddy, from my first statement it is clear that I believe it is a shameful or embarrassing act. You have not actually provided any rebuttals other than "well no it's not."
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:17 PM

That's exactly what they're doing. Taking advantage. Only, over real people, not corporations. And obviously I understand that the majority of men here have no problem taking advantage of people if it suits them. I'm just asking, do they have any shame or embarrassment whatsoever? Obviously not any that they're willing to admit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:15 PM

Lol you're regarded but ok I'll humor you. If you're overall considered a 5 in your country, but you look for women in another country where your improved income from coming from a richer country makes you an overall 7, then yes you should be ashamed/embarrassed. I am not in any way looking down on foreign women but the men who would give up on their own country.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:12 PM

Surprised the wine moms aren't throwing themselves at you more considering your fresh, unhackneyed comments
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:04 PM

So just finding an equal partner is a losing situation to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:03 PM

their SMV is too low to have the success they desire in their country Yes and rather accepting their value and trying to find someone of equal value in their own country, they believe they are entitled to more than what the dating market is giving them and thus want to look for women in poorer countries. Generally, their admittance of this is explained to be the fault of picky Western women who only want chads, ignoring every average couple in existence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 09:01 PM

Wow this was a much smarter response than I expected
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 08:54 PM

"people are going to dislike me no matter what I do. So it doesn't matter if I do BAD THING" you seem to be under the impression that being a passport bro is neutral, when I clearly state that I view it as shameful or embarrassing.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 08:53 PM

I have to stop my wife from doing this as I'm tired all the time, yes. Good argument though, representative of your beliefs
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/23 08:47 PM

Passport bros: do you have any modicum of shame or embarrassment? Or have you managed to fully delude yourselves that your lack of dating success is all the fault of Western women and ignore every single average couple that you see? Asking as a man fwiw

Oh, yeah it's tough trying to find someone at that age when people are the most superficial. Just gotta hit gym, groom yourself, learn socialization, develop personal clothing style. Obviously not saying things are guaranteed then, and I get why that's frustrating, but you still have a lot of time. Your initial post made it seem like, it's been years and years and you haven't had any luck, but you're still only early 20s.

I mean if you can't afford therapy, you probably aren't making enough to be considered desirable. It's obviously hard to say what the issue is without knowing your situation. I know it's not always the case, but the generalization is that you are overvaluing what you bring to the table and undervaluing the women you go for. It also sounds like you might have been spending too much time doing unnecessary things when the most important things might just be consistent exercise and improving income.

It's not just you, but there should be a rule in place that prohibits linking shitty psychology today articles. They consistently interpret papers wrong. If you actually look at the paper referenced in your first link, they outright stare in the abstract "Judgments of attractiveness are thus biased by a rater’s own attributes (e.g. attractiveness and intelligence), but these effects are not generalizable across men and women raters, and may be driven by different mechanisms."

If I created a general debate sub, and half of the posts were just attempts at Holocaust denial, I would be moderating / banning that at some point. Yes, sad black pillers exist. But the majority of people don't want to keep having the same exact discussion when black pillers don't want to listen. Like, point to any non-attractive person in Hollywood and you've already derailed their entire argument, but they're going to keep staying delusional and it gets annoying having to sift through that so…

Men are more desperate than women, is this new to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 06:55 PM

No you are not the only paranoid man who lacks critical thinking, don't worry. I'm sure there are many others on here who would claim that shutting down Backpage is a clear indication that the powers that be are finally cracking down on intimacy. I'm sure these deluded individuals would also blame the metoo movement on a grand conspiracy and not a general societal shift towards empowering female voices on the topic of sexual assault.

Lol I just saw the Hitler comment... not sure it's about bias, more just anger and salt that women are allowed to be picky. Even if you were their sister they would be angry and upset at you for having standards. I wouldn't say your opinion is controversial, just that delusional men are obviously going to argue when called out on their delusions.

It's hilarious how they stop trying to argue with you once you state that you found someone and thus can no longer be painted as sad and delusional

Delusion and lack of effort. So many guys will be quick to say they're not delusional, they just want someone like them. I'm sure this is sometimes the case, but very rarely. Simply put, of the early 20s-30s population, maybe 5% of men and women I would personally consider relationship material. But the majority of people are so quick to point out flaws or undesirable qualities in others yet ignore their own flaws. Or they have completely shitty, annoying personalities and then wonder why there …

I literally never said it's impossible. I literally compared it to things that are very much present in reality, and pointed out how just because some people live like this doesn't mean it's ideal. Some people get beat and abused by their partners and "they made it work just fine." Like Jesus Christ so if your grandparents had to work 40 hours a week starting from the age of 8, we should maintain that in the present-day because well shit they're alive aren't they?

Tons of people survive without access to running water. Tons of people live with chronic pain or drug addictions. Tons of people make 60k a year and drive an 80k car. Does this mean that it's ok to live like that? People aren't allowed personal standards because other people have it bad? You talk like someone who is not married and is obsessed with the faults of marriage anyway because you want to validate your lack of success.

I only called it cope because you seemed to be unable to accept that the general view of muscles is that a healthy amount, up to a certain point, is considered more desirable than not. Generally, when people are unwilling to accept straightforward ideas I believe its due to not wanting to confront potentially hurtful truths. I can understand this is not the case for you, I am just used to a fair amount of men coping on this sub.

Based on all of your comments, you seem to have a very binary approach to viewing this topic. When this is more of a continuous variable. Let's put it this way. You meet a woman who makes $300,000. You're happy right? You surely wouldn't feel like you're settling right? Would you be happier if she made $350,000? Of course you would be. Not by too much more, but why wouldn't you be just a bit happier? The same holds true for muscles and physical fitness. So much of your position comes from your o…

I mean it's funny but it's also kind of sad, because in order for a man to really understand this, he has to really be desired by his sexual partner. And of course, the vast majority of men on here either has not been in the situation or not understood it when they were.
