Marriage is hard. It’s especially hard when the kids are at that age. There is simply a lot going on in life and the stresses and burden of being the man of the house are a lot. I understand you’re miserable, but does a divorce really make things better for you? You will still have almost all of the financial obligations you have now with half of the assets. Just something to think about.

I'll add my two cents for what it's worth. In full disclosure, I'm not divorced and have been married for 16 years. We have gotten very close to divorcing a few times over the years. All that being said, we have been to counseling, and I'll never do it again. I found a good counselor. He was on his second career and his first career was in business. Agreed. It sounds like something in the relationship has changed and she no longer feels connected to you. You probably feel the same way and y'all may be headed down a very dangerous spiral of despair that is hard to get out of. Start talking and spend some time figuring out the people you have become.
