I'm not saying it as in the legislation being bad in any way. I'm saying that if they make every law they can and make them intense. I.E. 2 years payed maternal leave rather than 6 months or a year. I'm saying that legislation is needed for many reasons, but the fact that the numbers differ between men and women isn't necessarily one of them and legislation probably won't change the numbers much.

Looking through the comments I never saw anyone mention something. Let's be fair. The boys team was a U-15 team. (under 15). Now that does not necessarily mean that the team was all 14 year old boys, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 13 year old or two in the bunch as that's allowed. Nobody has exactly the same opportunities in life as another, there's no way to quantify or rank it as a whole. "Equity" policies are racist or sexist, or some other form of negative discrimination.
