I’ve tried using Instagram a few times but it’s really badly designed and everything is unintuitive, and also I don’t understand its purpose except getting spammed with bots constantly. Why do you say Instagram is the standard for this? What the hell do people even use Instagram for? I’m on Team Phone Number.

You’ve reached the age where all the women your age who had a kid at 18-20 now have kids aged 2-8. If you’re still single in a decade they’ll be the women who have kids age 12-17 that don’t need constant supervision.

Maybe don’t worry about “picking her up” and just have a normal conversation with her first?

Ask her name, and give her your name and number. That way she can text you if she wants to, and if she doesn’t text then you have your answer.

So in your mind, she’s going to think of a friend who’s looking for a date, ask that friend if she’d want to go on a blind date with me, and that friend will call to tell me no? Why would they call at all if the answer is no?

Ask her if she has any single friends.

I think there’s something to the idea that the “bad boy/nice guy” thing is that women want a guy who can be both, depending on what the situation calls for. Of course women can correct me, and of course every individual wants their own thing, but the appeal of this trope is about having someone on your side who is “dangerous, but safe.” He is a “bad boy,” he’ll beat your ass if you give him a reason, he’ll take a risk if there’s a reward, but she’s the one who “tamed” him. Most of this comes fro…

You need to develop your self-confidence. What I did was consistently ask myself, “What would a confident person do?” And then did that, even though I wasn’t really feeling it. Literally fake it ‘til you make it.

Prolonged eye contact. But like... really prolonged. This has the benefit of working across long distances.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
