Not true at all. maybe true of other feminists but when I was talking to the account owner she specifically said “my post was just recognizing that men can be victims, and not all women are innocent”.

Of course not. That would be misogynistic /s

While I agree that you should be judged by your merit, it’s true that women are discouraged from being in politics and that needs to be recognized.
/r/MensRights15/08/19 06:11 PM

I didn’t say it was more significant than that. It’s nice to recognize that it can happen to men too.

I don’t know what you’re referring to, lol

Modern feminism is female superiority. Feminism alone is not.

You think rape culture doesn’t exist? It’s not widespread but it exists definitely. Feminism at its most basic is women’s rights, and “good feminists” are ones who still believe in that. Sure, hate modern feminism all you want. But it’s origins don’t deserve hate.

Exactly. I’ve followed her for quite some time and everything she’s posted about is actually important and not stupid shit.

I know. She didn’t turn into a mainstream feminism account as soon as she saw what her most vocal followers felt like. She was like “uh, no, fuck you”. I just can’t believe a single post that supported men in the slightest was so attacked. Thank god it was only 4-5 people leaving most of them. Everyone else was supporting me surprisingly.

I was told “not my problem” when I brought that up.
/r/MensRights15/08/19 03:34 PM

You know what was fucking ironic? When I brought that up, one of them responded “not my problem”.

I was actually so amazed- many people messaged me saying that they’re sorry I dealt with that, because she kept responding to me saying “I’m a feminist, I’m not supposed to fight for that.” Mostly girls, which gave me hope.

I messaged the account owner saying thank you so much for posting this, it made my day because it felt like someone was saying my problems were valid. But of course people in the comments said “why? fuck this.” The account owner was so surprised so many of her supporters acted like this.

Allstate is supporting women victims of financial abuse. Is that not discrimination? Of course the comments are assholes but Allstate seems compliant.

Equity and equality are two strategies we can use in an effort to produce fairness. Equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful. Equality is treating everyone the same. Equality aims to promote fairness, but it can only work if everyone starts from the same place and needs the same help. https://everydayfeminism.com/2014/09/equality-is-not-enough/
/r/MensRights11/12/18 03:56 PM

you sure?
/r/MensRights11/12/18 01:27 PM

That works too!
/r/MensRights11/12/18 01:21 PM

That’s the difference between equity and equality: equity is the differences are fair, and equality means there are no differences. Like children having training wheels, elderly having battery powered bikes, disabled people having special bikes, versus everyone having the same bike.

Wait why can I still see it? This is the second time I’ve seen a “removed” post.

Why is the general population caring about crimes being committed? Good question...

Literally the same people tweeted something along the lines of "ok, objectifying women needs to stop" then "top 10 bulges from the Olympics!!!" then this.
/r/MensRights31/10/18 10:38 AM
6

The problem lies in the fact that the same people complain about objectifying women are objectifying men. What we do largely doesn't matter.

The same people making these articles complain about "objectifying women". Sex does sell, and I got no problem with porn and stuff, but this is double standards. This is objectifying women. Funny how there's not a problem when its men.

...tell us?
/r/MensRights23/10/18 09:19 PM

Wait. When the fuck did I compare that? Did I? Because I guarantee any point I made comparing them could also be made logically and validly if a dude went and grabbed chick's asses.
/r/MensRights07/10/18 07:21 PM

You too :)
/r/MensRights05/10/18 01:12 PM

Not gonna... refute any of my points? Fair enough
/r/MensRights05/10/18 11:16 AM

Well then good job, even though it was probably random
/r/MensRights05/10/18 10:48 AM
2

Okay? And don't you think that shit would happen if a guy did that?
/r/MensRights05/10/18 10:45 AM
2

Nope. Never said I could force dudes to care. Hell, I wouldn't care. I'm just saying that doesn't apply to everyone.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 10:35 AM
2

See, in your first point where you say "penetrative rape"? That's the problem. There's a difference because rape and grab ass are different. If you had said vs a woman getting her ass grabbed, then they'd be the same event happening. Yeah gotta agree with that 2nd point big oof for me I don't think a man's life will be destroyed. I also don't think a woman's life would be from someone grabbing her ass once. Yeah it'd be fucked up, but it's not repeated. And yes, she has the right (and really fuc…
/r/MensRights05/10/18 10:34 AM
1

Yep, my bad. Not my picture.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 10:29 AM
2

You literally just stated the problem. For it to be equal, either men have to care or women have to not care. The issue is the inequality.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 01:25 AM
3

So you mean that the two arguments aren't equal? Bold statement. Explain how they aren't, if "gender equal" is the buzzword of the century? Or any other reason why sexual assault is one way. Or any other reason why people should think that men's lives should be destroyed over sexual assault (not where I disagree, read on for more!) BUT women's lives aren't? Or any other reason why this was a "joke" to most people reading the original news article?
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:57 AM
0

That's the problem. Not only that guys are forgiving, but that even if he had pressed charges, do you think anything would have come of it? (Obviously I don't know, but the odds are slim.)
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:39 AM
3

And if you told people wouldn't they laugh? That's my point. Why is it not a big deal? My nuts are FRAGILE
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:37 AM
2

"Not a big deal", "nobody cares", and "that's worse than this" are ALL subjective. Remember that.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:36 AM
4

And how do you know he wasn't affected by it, but couldn't say anything because "men can't be raped" or something? Or because guys are forced to suck it up?
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:33 AM
4

Fair enough, this is a small issue compared to some stories I've seen here.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:31 AM
1

Yep, not my picture but I'd have said assault.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:29 AM
1

Not mine, but yeah. Harassment and assault are different.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:29 AM
5

Say this to a woman getting raped a woman who had her ass grabbed. See the consequences. EDIT: yes, it was false equivalence, but now that I edited it, my point does still stand.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:28 AM
2

You're telling me! Can we just say for once that equal means equal, not favoring one? Paging u/equalmeansequal.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 12:27 AM
2

Oh no. not again. I won't sneak anything in
/r/MensRights04/10/18 07:51 PM
12

The thing is everyone is different and you shouldn't generalize all men. Of course I wouldn't care but why the fuck does that mean everyone?
/r/MensRights04/10/18 07:29 PM
2

Sorry, hadn't seen it. My bad.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 07:28 PM
2

Literally no one said she got of scot free, least of all me. in fact, I researched before I posted it to make sure it wasn't a fake article. Sure, the public wouldn't care. Don't you think that if it were a guy, that his life would be ruined in other ways like jobs, friends, family? Don't you think it shouldn't be easier for her because she's a woman?
/r/MensRights04/10/18 07:24 PM
4

Fuck, can I bring my own?
/r/MensRights04/10/18 07:00 PM
5

And if a guy did it, don't you think that every single news site and paper would report on it? Would it not be a huge deal to put this "serial rapist" in jail? (and yes its not fucking rape but no one seems to use the right terms)
/r/MensRights04/10/18 06:57 PM
7

That makes it okay?
/r/MensRights04/10/18 06:11 PM
11

I'd be fine too. The thing is, how do you KNOW the players are? I'm sure some girls are fine with it, but you gotta know before you do it. Just like this.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 06:10 PM
3

Yup, the picture isn't mine, but still. Really fucked up that it's one way.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 05:43 PM
11

Of course, I didn't make it. I would have changed it. I found it on instagram (of all places).
/r/MensRights04/10/18 04:52 PM
14

Yep. Bullshit.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 03:42 PM

The world has nuts. And the world is prosecuted for it.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 03:41 PM

Jesus fucking Christ did they really just say that? So. How did we as the human race get here. Wow. So much fucking wow.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 03:18 PM
152

Of course, but that's par for the course. People would threaten his family and kids and probably do some physical shit too. And I'm not saying he shouldn't, but she should be too. edit since I'm dumb: I'm saying he should get in trouble for it not get doxxed or egged or tar and feathered.
/r/MensRights04/10/18 03:16 PM

He'd be fucking doxxed.
