Its a terrible fucking response that doesn't in any way address the actual point shes making. "Male Privilege" doesn't mean "A problem that men cause", it means "A problem that men dont have to deal with". I dont understand how so many people completely miss this. Like, even if you disagree with her, this response has NOTHING to do with the statement shes making. Even if its women putting eachother down, its still a problem specific to women. Hes even acknowledging in his response that its a pro…

The thing I hate about the term "shallow" is that it implies that attractive/tall/thin people aren't good people. Once you acknowledge that attractive people can be good people, then you have to admit that people looking for tall/thin/pretty partners might also care about whats on the inside, and just not be willing to settle for one or the other. Its just a lot easier to put a 6ft/150lb requirement on a profile as a filter than it is to attempt to objectively quantify what it means to be a good…

Could possibly be to put forward the idea that Jake being drunk isn't an excuse for having sex with her, and they just completely missed the fact that it looks fucking stupid to put that bit of information there. "I was drunk so its not my fault" is a ridiculously common thing to hear when someone is defending their actions. "I'm not normally like that so you should let me off".

Pro life is anti-abortion. Pro choice covers the range from people who support abortion as an option, to those who disagree with abortion but don't believe the government should be allowed to legislate womens bodies. Calling it pro-abortion is retarded. Many pro-choice people are anti-abortion but believe the problem should be solved by providing better education, access to contraceptives, etc. The difference between "pro-life" and "pro-choice" is often times only a difference in the way the two…

Aside from everyone else who responded and said literally the exact same thing.... I haven't paid for a snap but I've been tempted to just because the girl had something about her that I liked more than free porn. Not because I actually gave a shit about "intimacy" but because she had something I couldn't find in free porn.

You can control your insecurities about your height, which is what the original post was about. I have no idea how so many people could miss the point so hard, even if they were trying. She's not shit talking short people. She's shit talking short people that have a problem with being around women that are taller than them because they're insecure.

This is exactly why I could almost agree with his comment. I couldn't give a fuck less if it was all women, because all I care about is that the best person for the job is being hired. So in a sense, yeah I'm ready. If they're going to get there by being better at the job, then I only stand to benefit from their hard work to achieve that. I encourage them to put up the sort of fight that might lead to those numbers

The issue that I have here is that technically she isn't saying its because of men at all. You can infer whatever you want from her statement, but all shes literally saying is that its a problem women have to deal with, then men don't. Male Privilege is bullshit, but lets not misrepresent the argument. If a man can do something without issue, and a woman cant, that's the definition of what they claim male privilege is. Men can (supposedly) wear the same clothing over and over without issue, and …

My response I literally had this exact same thought a few months ago. I quit drinking and it was fucking terrible at first, but after the first 30 days I was more comfortable having sex sober than I ever was drunk. For me, I thought and stressed too much when I was sober. I didn't think as much when I was drunk. Surprisingly though now that I haven't had a drink in 2.5 months, I don't think at ALL during sex anymore. Can't, too horny. Turns out that while I thought the alcohol was making me bett…

She's basically just topless. Totally legal for a man, or a woman (in many places). That's equal rights. Totally inappropriate for work, but the fact that so many people think she should be arrested for what amounts to a dude walking around in underwear sort of proves her point. The fact that so many people have suggested/upvoted her being arrested is really disappointing

A lot of subs that flirt with content like this, end up going full retard. The problem is that when you're open to controversial topics like this, it makes the assholes feel like they have a safe space. Subs like /r/mensrights that absolutely have a purpose they could be fulfilling, will routinely post up anti-feminist bullshit and then find any way possible to justify it in the context of men's rights, even though denying women's rights has fucking nothing to do with men's rights. Subs like /r/…

So once again, this subreddit isn't actually standing up for mens rights at all. Its just yelling loudly about something it admits is a problem to try and disparage feminists. How about the hypocrisy of of harping on feminists for pointing out stupid irrelevant shit to support their agenda, and then doing the same to support ours? Or are feminists the only ones not allowed to have double standards?

Yeah, honestly curious, Does anyone have the actual link? The picture alone doesn't give me any reason to believe they didn't ask if they could touch first.

I sort of got the same feeling. She didn't ever really come across as a "feminist" in anything I watched, so much as a "womans rights activist" who wanted to educate about gender issues. It wasn't until later on that I started to have my doubts about her, but I dont think I ever really thought she was a bad person.

Hopefully it's not like /r/hatecrimehoaxes which literally just posts hate crime articles and calls them suspicious (because hate crimes don't actually exist?) And circle jerks about how theyre probably a hoax. We don't need a sub that calls into question every single rape accusation without any evidence, in some self reinforcing misogynistic circle jerk Im big on men's rights, but subs like this tend to go to shit pretty quick

Yeah. I work with a number of women who are all amazing at their jobs. Being a woman doesn't make you a shit employee.

Honestly, it varies a lot depending on where you are. That difference in definition is what leads to a lot of the bullshit and arguing on Reddit. Heres a link with a brief overview In some states, like New Jersey, the phrase sexual assault has simply replaced the word rape in the statute books. In others, like Pennsylvania (PDF), rape requires the use or threat of force, whereas sexual assault refers to any act of intercourse without consent. (So the former is an especially serious version of th…

Because explaining things to people increases the chance that they'll agree with you. If you honestly give even a single fuck about the issues it's the right thing to do. Pissing people off, leaving them confused and then saying "well fuck you it's your own fault" just leads to less understanding, more fighting, and more struggle.

I felt really bad a while back. I was walking by a Charlotte Russe and there was a TS/CD inside that wanted to try on clothes. The employees refused to let this person into the only fitting room they had in the store. Mall security was called. Finally after the store made a huge fucking spectical of this person, a manager finally agreed to let them into the fitting room but only while accompanied by a staff member It was honestly fucking embarrassing. I could see the fitting room doors from outs…

Pedophilia? Defenetely. Rape? Not sure This has to be a troll account. It is by definition not pedophilia, and it is by definition rape. You need to research both of those terms if you honestly believe either of those points. Consent doesn't make something not rape by law.

Pretty much, just less obvious. The sort of thing where if you sent someone a link, they wouldn't immediately know you were fucking with them. That's the goal anyways

The problem with that statement as far as a I see it is the fact that for in order for it to be true, you're assuming that they're aware of it. They cant be willing to drag others down if they dont believe anyone is being dragged down, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a single person who supports affirmative action who even acknowledges that anyone is actually harmed by them
