Idk, if being yourself means dramatically reducing your dating pool, so be it. Why force to act different just to attract more people. You won’t be happy your partner will pick up on it and it will negatively affect your relationship.

Can we tell women how to dress to our preferences?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:52 AM

I’ve heard it but never actually got the guys point of view. I’ve heard women talk about cuddling with their friends (guys). Pretty sure it’s a guy so deep in the friend zone everyone thinks they’re gay

I’ve known both types. Those who are very open with just wanting casual hook ups and those who have balanced up to 3 girlfriends at once. The second is a lot more rare. The majority of men that I know that sleep around specifically look for women that have the same mindset of quick and casual hookups. It’s pretty understood at this point that tinder isn’t for dating.

Men can see things women can’t because they lived as a man and know the secrets. Men speak more freely to other men about their true feeling, the stuff they wouldn’t dare say to a woman. If I was a woman, I would lack the insight knowledge of how men behave.

Odd logic. If you are unhappy with a relationship, end it. Why rent out 2 apartments for 4 months when one of them makes you unhappy. End your lease and move on. Also, comparing apartments to partners is wild.

It’s more common than you think. Worthless step dads are everywhere. I’ve even seen plenty of single dads marry women who wants absolutely nothing to do with his kids

They are operating at a major loss. The market is speaking. If they choose to ignore the losses then they are well within their rights. No point in getting bent out of shape over someone else burning money.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 07:14 AM

If it dies it dies. The nba is free to burn their money as they choose. Profitable or not, we all have the freedom to do what we want with our money. The nba is still a private organization
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:23 AM
1

Well, that’s where the free market comes into play. If a private company wants to lose $50 million it’s their right to do so. If something is unpopular or impractical, it will work its way out naturally if the WNBA disappears next year and people are upset than They have the right to make a new one. It’s the fact that a private has the right to make those choices. I think the fact that the WNB exist is just proof that society is attempting equality where they can. Let the market decide what they…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 12:59 AM

Obviously, there will always be biological differences but social equality is different. Women cannot compete in the NBA for obvious reasons but that’s why we have a WNBA. It’s equal opportunity. Society is moving the direction of equality and this isn’t about feminism and a women’s ability to work in an oilfield.

Not really what I’m saying. Just saying being super unique and special isn’t a requirement to be compatible or requirement to get a partner. You must find your partner special in the sense you value them though

When you go to the grocery store for a bundle of bananas you grab the ones that look the best to you. You could have grabbed any of those bundles but there were some specific details that stood out to you. There were several other bananas that met your criteria but you chose what you chose. Say you find the most unique bundle of bananas. You are convinced you will never see anything like it again. A month later you are shopping for bananas on the other side of town. You see a bundle of bananas t…

I think it really just depends on how you’re trying to use the word. It seems like you are trying to use special in the sense that you value your partner. Yes, your relationship is doomed if you don’t value each other. Special meaning unique? Not really a requirement. As long as you two are compatible, it doesn’t matter how unique anyone is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 05:12 PM

I worked with a 50 something year old that was dating a 23 year old. His biggest complaint was that she acted like a 23 year old. Shocking they broke up
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 09:12 PM

So moral of the story is if you prioritize wealth and appearance then you are less likely to be emotionally compatible with your partner? Makes sense to me

Which circles all the way back to my original comment again. TRP does not equal incel. Not having trust in a relationship just makes you two incompatible asses. Has nothing to do with political affiliation. I know plenty of BP people who mistrust the opposition gender and cheat. I’m not going to call them true blue pill opinions.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 06:05 PM

Kind of two subjects. The original point I was trying to make is that true red pill does not hate women. TRP values women for the traditional role they play in society. A TRP would defend a women in the face of hate. Yes, RP ties into incel behavior because some men cling to the tradition and feel they are born to be served by women. In reality, these incels have lost the plot in the same way the BP equivalent has lost the plot.

And people forget, that is what we evolved to do. We built a society but we still have biological instincts. We all do and it’s what drives human behavior

It’s just the way life used to be. It’s how society functioned. Men were biologically the ones who protected women so naturally it meant men had more say in what the women can do. People tend to forget how rapidly we advanced over the last 150 years and how insignificant of a time period that is in the bigger picture. It takes far more than 3 generations to change a whole society. As a society, we are moving closer to equality but the old ways of living is just a stone toss away. Not trying to a…

My point was that it’s a bad argument to say TRP is incel and misogynistic because TRP is more interested in protecting women instead hating on and blaming them for everything. I’m not arguing that those phrases aren’t bad. I’m saying that being an incel does not make you TRP

/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 04:01 PM

TRP is not misogyny. RP believes in a tradition way that a man and a woman play their roles. For obvious reasons BP will see this as a backwards way of thinking and confuse it with misogyny. What many don’t realize is that RP comes from good intentions that a man will protect and provide. This often takes the form of socially suppressing the woman. On the extreme farthest end of the RP side you see the belief that women’s rights and roles should be reduced so traditional values can be restored. …

I think this goes beyond a gender issue. These days, people lack the ability or desire to form a social circle so they compensate by placing all their stock in a partner to combat their loneliness. This is extremely unhealthy for a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 03:18 PM

I knew them. It was cheating. She was messing around with a girl and his conservative brain could not comprehend that it was sexual. He just thought it was normal girl stuff and his wife took full advantage. I came out later she had a boyfriend in another town towards the end of their marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:25 PM
7

There is that too. I grew up in a very religious community and saw it all the time. I’ve noticed a lot of women grow to resent the religious life style because it really does favor the men. I think cheating is more common than people realize. Not a lot of people get caught
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:21 PM

Don’t get me wrong, success stories happen all the time, especially on Reddit. However, in my experience, every couple I know who went open failed because it was one partners excuse to sleep around because they were no longer invested in the marriage. That or someone already cheated and it was an effort to keep the marriage on life support.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 03:03 PM

Right. It’s not cheating for you guys. He was a very conservative man and was in denial that his wife could possibly be bi or even lesbian. His wife was cheating but my friend refused to acknowledge it until his wife just flat out told him she hasn’t loved him for years.

I had a buddy whose wife was cheating on him. Right in front of him too. I asked him if he was cool with it and he told me he doesn’t think his wife is cheating because she is doing things with another woman. They divorced a year later.

If I had to put money on it, I would say liberal women cheat more. Mostly because as a culture, sex and relationships are a bit of a loose topic for them. Bigger emphasis on exploring sexuality and statistically less likely to be settled down. Liberal men seem more willing to forgive or even embrace an open relationship following. Liberal women are also more likely to have their own jobs and be more career focused so there is less dependence on their partner and less consequence. Conservative wo…

Potentially. Could be a way to make their life more exciting. Could be because she is hot enough to get away with it. I see it enough to think that there has to be at least some interest in it. Could be some kind of complex where they enjoy arguments? Lots of men don’t like to acknowledge when they are in a bad situation that is negatively affecting them

Personally wouldn’t stand for it in my life but I know a ton of men who love it. I think a lot of men are willing to look past a horrendous personality if she is attractive enough. I have had a friend straight up tell me he is still with someone because they were hot when I asked him if he was bothered by the fact that she treats him like trash. I actually just think this guy gets off to being psychically abused. I have definitely noticed that a lot of men put up with a woman who treats them hor…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 04:29 PM

It honestly just sounds like you are pursuing woman that do not have a compatible personality for what your looking for. However, your personality may come off as a red flag to most. You might find that a lot of women do like being provided for but they do not like being treated like a dependent. A lot of women get turned off and get defensive of a man who is too driven to provide. It is very known tactic for men to trap woman in abusive relationships by making them 100% dependent on them as the…

It depends on the woman. Some women still want to live a traditional life as a stay at home mother and would absolutely take it as a compliment. I feel like the majority of women today in a western society would rather have a career and an independent lifestyle. That type of phrase would probably be offensive to them. It’s very subjective and everyone has different views.

He has a point. Placing all of a man’s worth into their income is very negative. In the same way a man could place all of a woman’s worth in their appearance. Not being in the top percentile for a category shouldn’t disqualify you from a happy relationship. Drawing a comparison to a millionaire and a lazy bum isn’t really a solid argument. You can be ‘low income’ and still bring plenty to the table for a relationship. Not earning a lot of money doesn’t automatically make you a lazy person
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 03:18 PM

It’s more of a figure of speech. Nobody is literally referring to a man has “material”. Saying husband or wife material is just saying they are worthy of a happy marriage. It’s also not a gender specific phrase. Wife material is just as common to hear. Edit: I kind of see it now after reading some comments. Everyone has different values and views on what a relationship should consist of and who should bring what to it. Telling a man he is husband material because of his high income is pretty obj…

General self improvement is what a lot of people need. If you can’t take care of yourself on a basic level, most people won’t want to date you. It’s not even “just go to the gym”. Women losing respect for a partner would be normal if the guy was overly emotional. To a point he couldn’t function normally and became emotional at the smallest things. This isn’t just the emotion of sadness. I am saying over all too emotional such as anger too. In a traditional relationship, a women would be looking for a solid rock to ground the relationship. Sex isn’t the goal for everyone. If all you want is casual hook ups then you are making a mistake committing yourself to one person. If you want to grow up and settle down then enter a relationship. We are animals. We like to act like we aren’t by rejecting out natural instincts even though they are plain an easy explanations for problems that plague society. Guys in particular gain the confidence because they are able to get away with the behavior for years. They know that women tend to move fast in relationships so if sex is the goal, all they have to do it act like a good guy for one or two dates and they succeed. Its a dumb combination of sneaky men and easy women in a world of zero personal accountability.

I don’t think a red pill is looking for casual hook ups. I would think a red pilled individual would be looking for a long term relationship

This is where i believe modern society is throwing a wrench in things. I feel like this society has successfully eroded the desire for monogamy. We are told we can do what we want with out bodies and we can have sexual freedom. Personality is more important because now we have modern jobs, coexist in homes, and have different goals. I feel like we are in the in between phase where some biological values have been stripped and removed but then others have remained in the subconscious. Biological …

It all boils down to the biological needs developed over time. People often forget that humans are still animals with instincts. In modern society we have almost no need for these instincts because of modern medicine and technology. You no longer need to be the alpha male type to get a mate. What i will be saying is that these instincts are obsolete but deeply ingrained in our society and possibly instinctual. As humans we no longer need to have sex to ensure the survival of our species. We only…

I think i have to agree… i know there are exceptions like relationships with lower sexual desires/drives but i would say as a generalization, i agree

I definitely feel like slapping a race on it is going too far… i would however agree that it is an urban/city culture thing.

I am of the opinion that a cheat can still love their partner. I don’t think it is a wild concept for someone to fall in love with more than one person. I think to understand it we need to separate loving and caring. As illogical as that sounds I believe you can love someone and not care for them. Care for in a mentally/physical way. To love love someone without caring for them gives you an abusive relationship. To care for someone and not love them gives you a distant and shallow relationship.

shat happened to the idea that you should treat your partner lovingly and graciously The point of FDS is to brag about or instruct on how to extract your wants and needs from your partner with only your own interests in mind. In a way the women think they are enacting some great revenge or table turn. I love browsing that sub as entertainment but eventually i see a post that just makes me sad to think there are people out their giving some very dangerous advice and the whole community is just re…

Why not. If we strive for 100% equality then that should be part of it. On the other side of the coin you need to keep the bar for entry the same regardless of gender. I see a lot of people saying the draft shouldn’t be a thing but it is often needed. It should be the absolute last resort…

From the context i have seen it used in it means aggressively seeking a partner for a date or hook up. Not in a malicious or predatory way. Just very persistent with low standards.

Easier time dating=market is in your favor. We are in an odd spot where nobody knows what they want. Men are doing a 180 and learning to be independent. Women want to do things that make them undesirable to men but then they want to complain about how nobody wants to date them. Both sides are dating less in general. Social media gives a loud speaker to the vocal minority. What you see on tik tok does not reflect reality. It reflect the high school to college age young adult that “does it for the…

Generally speaking, women are not expected to bring anything to the table. A less than average looking women will have men lining up to date her as long as she has an approachable and palatable personality. Men on the other hand are expected to have the looks, income, personality and more. A hot woman working at McDonalds probably has a large pool of men who would love to date her. A hot man that works at McDonalds probably has a much much smaller pool because he works at McDonalds. Society is c…

Just because women have an easier time dating doesn’t mean there can’t be a vocal minority with completely unpalatable personalities with no plans of taking responsibility for their failures. Women are being approached less because society is shifting. It is less acceptable to aggressively pursue a partner. What was once romantic is now creepy. Historically, men were expected to make the first move. Now, there is no social expectation for who does what but the responsibility still leans on the m…

No but women generally don’t need the aid of online dating because they find partners without them. Women are more likely to be approached and asked on a date. Men are approached less and rejected more so they seek the aid of dating apps. Dating is a market that favors the women

Men are more likely to seek dating resources because women have an easier time finding a partner.

I guess the divorce rate involving “successful men” is kind of high lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/22 03:39 PM

I have never though about that before. Any hvm is probably in that position because he he himself is assertive and socially gifted. Meaning he is going to want to take charge of the relationship or at least isn’t looking for someone toxic and manipulative. They are going to be smart and will see through the strategies. They know their worth and wont settle for anything because they have unlimited options

I got bored and scrolled though it the other day. A top voted comment (1k+) suggested that lying to your partner about serious things is alright and encouraged and if he calls you out on your lie the you accuse him of gaslighting. It makes me sad to imagine people people taking this advice.
