If someone is genuinely asking for advice on a job interview and you say just be yourself it kind of falls flat. If they are looking for advice then they want specific things that the interviewee is looking for like to dress sharp and to have questions about the company ready.

Honestly though with modern women, if they have any intention of sex at all and they don’t get it they just move on. They can afford to be frivolous with partners because there’s so many fish in the sea.

Learn what you want and be open with him about it, having sex is like everything else where the more time you spend doing it the better you get. Also if you learn to suck his dick like the porn star mycherrycrush he will want to marry you.

At this point you should try to filter out the ones that have very strong ideologies if you catch my drift. They have to grow out of that first before they can be in something healthy.

It doesn’t hurt for sure, I was a bouncer for about 8 months and you definitely get noticed and have some extra time to flirt once you get settled in.

If a doctor botches a treatment it’s clear they messed up and are held accountable, same for economists, how are therapists held accountable when they make mistakes? I don’t really see how it’s relevant if I’ve gone and it’s not much your business either.

Sure and doctors didn't wash their hands between seeing patients until they discovered bacteria and they were the professionals of their time. Therapy is pseudo scientific at best, what makes you so sure they aren't spreading their bacteria? There are only certain kinds of problems you can solve by sitting in a stuffy room with someone and talking and for the most part they are first world problems. You say you can't find self awareness by ruminating by yourself but I'd argue that's how people h…

I’m simply agreeing that it’s not a silver bullet. Self awareness can be good but it doesn’t mean that it’s a broad stroke solution for finding the right people to be in your life. Therapists are attempting to change you for the better from their experience but even hedge fund managers make the wrong bets sometimes. In my experience the person who knows your bias the best is the person living it.

Trained professional is not the end all be all especially when it comes to human relationships. Self awareness doesn’t always go hand in hand with success. I’m glad it worked out for you in your case but you can’t reframe shit into gold without conning someone.

Disagree completely. Although confidence is great, therapists are about as useful as a rabbits foot for finding a partner. Seek them out if you’re emotionally in trouble, otherwise you’re just letting another person muck about in your head.

I haven’t finished the book but so far I like models by Mark Manson. Kind of addresses neediness if that’s what you mean by nice. I like the writing style he goes into why we do certain things.

I find women who do that are looking for you to lose control and take her because they enjoy that, which obviously don’t do. It’s really a question of how much of that are you willing to take? Even if she does end up sleeping with you you already know your drives are different so you’re setting yourself up for a lot of frustration.

They will often say something as fact to see if you’ll fight them on it, often things they think are common to guys. “6 packs are so important” or something like that, remember if you don’t disagree with her at all she’ll think you’re a pushover. Reverse psychology is their main mode of getting what they want, so always look one step ahead to understand them.

Often awkward means you’re thinking too much in the moment. Try doing things like improv or quick reaction exercises to get you comfortable on the spot.
