This is the ASF archive of a deaf guy who picked up successfully. Use it as inspiration: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!activity/alt.seduction.fast/6EVRRfVYrgsJ

A few things I consider before I even bother to listen: 1) Does it match my own experience? 2) Were these guys already successful before finding this info on the net? Is their insight coming from that past experience? 3) Is what they are saying consistent with the old players from 1999-2002, and what other real life players have shared with me? There just way too much noise and not enough signal these days. Anyone who fails those 3 rules of thumb generally gets ignored by me. Especially if they …

It's a tough chicken or the egg situation with pickup. You can't build a good track record unless you try. You can try to maximize your odds beforehand though (appearance, friendly conversation practice, etc).

These books were a fresh perspective for me. http://www.amazon.com/Nice-Guys-And-Players-Becoming/dp/0965568237 http://www.amazon.com/Sexual-Chemistry-Nice-Players-Level/dp/0965568245/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_y

Just posted this in another sub-thread: http://www.zeepedia.com/read.php?goal_orientation_goal_involvement_motivational_climate_sport_psychology&b=96&c=4 I have a book called "The Sports Psych Handbook", which I picked up at a used bookstore on a whim. Once I paged through it, it made me wish I would have looked into the subject sooner. http://www.amazon.com/Sport-Psych-Handbook-Shane-Murphy/dp/0736049045/ref=sr_1_10?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1371501353&sr=1-10&keywords=sports+psychology The book is i…

I agree and disagree. I think for example, that some of the visualization techniques borrowed from NLP (in particular, by Ross Jeffries) can help, and having positive self-talk can also help. However, nothing begets confidence like success. That's why setting up realistic goals is important. Actually, the whole subject of goal setting and goal orientation as studied in sports psych is very apropos to this whole "inner game" discussion. http://www.zeepedia.com/read.php?goal_orientation_goal_invol…

It's one of those personality quizzes/tests. It was pretty popular back in the day. Unless I'm not remembering right, some of the interpretations were related to how the person answering the quiz viewed sex. Instant introduction to sex as a topic. http://www.amazon.com/books/dp/0062512668

The Cube used to be a good way to do this, before it got played out. Talking about relationships, past boyfriends (and any good feelings they gave the girls) is a good way to get there. You can then ask them what their ideal man is, what makes them feel sexy as a woman, etc.

I don't see much wrong in here. In fact, despite the initial awkwardness, you had a pretty smooth interaction. Update: she came over and said goodbye, asking me if I'm going >anytime soon. I said no probably not, might see you tomorrow then to >which she replied "you probably will". Now I'm all nervous for tomorrow! >Also this time I remember not to mumble! Ha I'm learning already! Take this as a good sign. She didn't have to go out of her way to talk to you again. After you've had a chance to c…

How late at night are you talking about? Not much going on Monday nights, at least in my experience. Try the early evening after work, instead. Hit the supermarkets & stores for some street pickup. After hours, I usually would check out hotel bars for out-of-townies who might be looking for some fun themselves. Music/Movie stores also tended to have some girls at night, as did some coffee shops.

It doesn't matter. Go out and practice your verbals & body language with her since she's giving you the chance to do so.

Confidence comes from a successful track record. Sports psychology has a lot to say about this.

Love the answer. The thing that sets apart the strong silent type archetype is that he is a competent man of action, and cool under pressure. That he is a man of few words only adds to the mystery. Sergio Leone's heroes would not be a fraction as compelling were it not for the fact that they are complete badasses at what they do. On a complete tangent, if you want to see an extreme version of this archetype, check out The Great Silence. The man is literally mute but the most badass gunslinger in…
