One more guy on board. Just finished pushups and enjoyed doing the goals on day 1. The short version of what I'm avoiding is genuinely going all out in my career. By being smart and lucky I've easily been able to be good, or even very good. I have avoided the work, sacrifice, and self examination it takes to be excellent. I am facing it; it's mindset more than a set of actions so it really never ends.

OYS Week 2 Fitness: Lifting and/or running 6 days per week as planned. My deadlift is weak relative to other major lifts and a few months back I set the goal of a 300lb deadlift. Last week I managed 285x2, so it's getting close. As I mentioned last week, diet has been a problem for me and I'm fat despite a solid workout regimen. First post.... Fitness: I've been lifting and doing cardio for many years with more consistent lifting in the past year. My diet has been poor and I pay a higher price for this with a slowing metabolism (in my early 50s). This week I did a "bod pod" assessment which revealed 28% body fat, worse than I thought.
