I more meant that it's not uncommon to find it hard to think outside your own way of thinking, however illogical it may be, and imagine how someone else might perceive a situation. In that way it wasn't quite so ridiculous to accidentally make a false connection between what YOU would think and what is ACTUALLY the case. Yes, this way of thinking is itself ridiculous. Better wording would have have my my point a little more clear. But thank you for pointing it out. It's good to be vigilant of pr…

In my own experience, it depends on the man and what he's looking for. If he's looking to settle down, then yeah, nice girls finish first, but a lot of guys aren't looking to settle down. There is a lot of free sex out there and a lot of guys don't see the point in settling down until it's too late. See: MGTOW... I actually find this dynamic kind of funny, because nice girls and nice guys almost always find each other early in life and settle down really fast. And then everyone else is left sayi…

To me, this is basically a matter of believing what he says and taking it at face value. Unless he outwardly says he's annoyed or irritated, chances are that he's not. At least not with you. It's hard for people to understand that not everyone else thinks the way that they do, and women are known to say one thing and mean another (sometimes without even realizing it). So our minds make that connection, which isn't ridiculous, but it's usually wrong when it comes to men. Men are extremely direct …

Yes, it is what we were made for. But anymore, no, not everyone can do it. Most women are either inept (because they spent their lives trying to be boys and didn't care about learning anything to do with caring for a home) or completely unwilling to do it, and don't take the time to actually be good at it. It takes years and years to be good at it. Unless you're the kind of housewife that thinks that homemaking is dusting shelves, popping out babies, and baking bread. Yeah, anyone can do that, b…

I feel sorry for you, thinking that receiving a college education is only way to attain a valuable skill set. Homemaking is truly a full-time job, and not just anybody can do it. It's not just dusting the bookshelves and baking cakes. You have to learn a lot and there's no shortcuts to learning any of it. It took years for me to learn everything that I know, hundreds of hours of hard work, dedication, and practice went into even beginning to be good at it. But you believe what you want.

I'm in the middle of kicking this habit as well. It really is a process, and you can't expect it to happen overnight, but with that being said, there are a few things that I've done that help me. What helps me most is stopping before I say anything and asking myself if the comment is really worth it. Does his behavior really DESERVE criticism? The best way I've found to determine that is asking myself if I would remember this moment in 5 years. He didn't put the towel up after a shower? Well, I'…

Well, I suppose the more accurate question is this: Is he going to resent you if you EVER quit your job? Do your dreams matter less than his? Does his idea of a good life trump your own? To me it sounds like you're giving up what you want out of life to make room for his wants and needs. I'm not suggesting this is the case, but it's simply how it seems from your post. I'm not sure why you made this post if you weren't passionate about homemaking, and it seems like he is denying you that ability.…

Why would he lose respect for you if you quit your job? It sounds like his values are not the same as yours and I'm not really understanding why you married a man who differs from you on such a fundamental level. I'm not saying that to be mean or anything, I'm just not sure why you would want to be with someone who wants a MUCH different lifestyle. I can understand what the rest of the ladies are saying, making money and saving is a good thing. But if he's expecting something of you that you're …

I think that this is good advice for everyone, for either gender. You need to be thinking about what you're bringing to the table, and if the other person isn't matching your contribution, it's not a good choice. Or you might even realize you're not bringing as much as they are, and need to up your ability to contribute to a relationship. Good post, great advice.

No, from my experience, men do not care about social status in women. My husband was raised high middle class; a million dollar home, horses, private school, etc. I lived in homeless shelters for most of my childhood. He could not give less of a crap.

I wouldn't say you're being unreasonable, I think that you're just young and want what most people want, which is excitement. Speaking as someone who has had their fair share of excitement and "fun", it's not all that it's cracked up to be. It leaves you with a very empty feeling that's not much better than what you're experiencing right now. It might even be worse. The grass is always greener on the other side, so I encourage you to explore what makes YOU fun and stop comparing yourself to othe…

In my experience, I was told that women's and men's roles are to be completely blurred and seen as the same thing. Acting like that's even remotely a possibility (without negative consequences) is absurd. Men are being treated like women; which is causing a whole slew of issues, within education and marriage especially. Women are being treated like men, which is causing a lot of relationship and family issues. And a lot of it boils down to why I think places like this exist. I agree, I don't thi…

Well, to answer your first question: "why the black and white view on women and society?" I'm not going to act like I speak for everyone on this subreddit, but I personally have a very black and white view for a few reasons. The first reason is because society itself has been force-feeding me ideas of what to think about a woman's role and what society should look like. A lot of people here talk in black and whites (I believe) because they're fed up with this huge grey area that's been fed to th…

Personally, I would leave the business. He sounds immature and I wouldn't trust someone with such high levels of narcissism to be able to run a business. But if you want to stay, I would tell him that if he wants to continue being business partners, he needs to understand that you're no longer interested and that you will not be talked down to.

I'm going to side with you here. That's just not okay. I think it's healthy to be willing to change for someone who respects you, and I applaud your willingness, but it's pretty obvious that he's being disrespectful, and not for any good reason. I would ditch him. He's not worth it.

Usually, submissive women are not found, they're made. At least that's my experience. (I swear I'm not trying to draw attention to the fact that I'm a woman, just trying to give my experience as an example so I can help) When I met my husband, I was the epitome of a raging man-hating feminist; complete with weird hair, 25 extra lbs, and a "this is what a feminist looks like" shirt. It was bad. I don't know what he saw in me, but when we started going out (against all odds), he changed me. And th…

This relationship is way too complicated and broken. He will never move past the fact that you were with his best friend, and that you ended their friendship. You need to let him go and allow him to move on.

Personally, I like to keep myself as natural as possible so that I can remain confident in how I truly look, and so that there is only a SLIGHT difference in how I look with and without makeup. I'll opt for very small spot concealment, a tinted moisturizer, a tiny of bit eyeshadow that is barely darker than my skin for eye definition, some mascara, and perhaps a coral or red lip. That way, when I do take everything off at night, it isn't a SHOCK to see me bare-faced. I also do this because I've …

So aspiring to be a full-time homemaker is considered to be "zero skills" now? My cleaning skills are enough that I ran a housekeeping business for 6 years. I was taught to cook by my father, who worked in a five-star restaurant for 10 years. I embroider, I sew, I mend old clothes, I iron and steam and starch, I budget, I plan nutritious meals weeks in advance, I garden, I knit and crochet, and I also have time to write a novel. But no skills.

I think this is a greatly important topic that isn't discussed enough. A lot of women, including myself at times, will talk the talk, but when it comes down to things like this that are hard, they skimp out. It's easy to get dressed up, bake a few cakes, smile when he comes home, and have a good sex life. But, surprisingly, this can be really hard at times. Because building your man up does not stop when he screws up. It doesn't stop when he annoys you, when you're having a bad day, when you're …

Some of us choose to live life without as much pessimism, and choose husbands that actually love us. I'm sorry your friends didn't have a good experience. But I, personally, choose not to live day to day wondering whether or not my husband is going to leave me or cheat.

I really love embroidery, sewing, crocheting, baking and cooking, basically things that I can do with my hands. I'm in the process of writing a novel. I also read a lot. I'm pretty big book savage, reading mostly suspense/horror/mystery novels, biographies, and epic fantasies like A Song of Ice and Fire and Lord of the Rings (I read those annually). I also play a lot of video game with my husband, it's our special bonding thing.

I personally find this to be bad advice. Most good men are taken by the time you hit 25 years old, and 20-25 are your peak years to find someone: it's when your value is highest. Yes, a lot of men are caught up in the hook-up culture, but a lot of them aren't. Also, what's bad about being dependent on your husband? If you choose wisely, it can be a wonderful thing.

In my experience, this happens when a few main things happen, among other things. But these are the most common: The woman stopped making him feel desired. She stopped calling him sexy, hot, handsome, gorgeous, etc. She stopped feeling up on him and being playful. She made him feel like he isn't that great. Making him feel like he's not good enough in anything whatsoever can lead to a lack of intimacy, emotional and physical. Who wants to be close to someone who nags and belittles? She isn't ava…

I'm really bad about not trusting judgement. I've been a lot better recently, but this last week I flipped my biscuit for a second when my husband said he wanted to do something I deemed irresponsible. I let it out, immediately regretted it, and he got irritated. I was really proud of myself, I didn't feed into his agitation (which would usually catapult me into a rage), but smoothly told him I was sorry and that I trusted him to make sound choices. Instant forgiveness and smooth sailing!

This is a classic example of a shit-test. Is the gift bag really all that important to you? It really does nothing to say whether or not he takes out trash in a timely manner. I'm sure his house is not overrun with garbage, so obviously he is capable.

Well, also, remember: you do not live together. He probably does not feel like you should have pull over a space that is not yet yours to govern.

Personally, I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who is a stay-at-home wife and as someone who doesn't really believe in a woman working outside of the home unless completely necessary. I can see where you're coming from, but that's me explaining where I'm coming from and my response was just what I've seen work best. Also, I'm so sorry your wrists got broken, how on earth did that happen!? My wrist issues come from a mixture of arthritis and tendinitis (which is a doozy considering I'm …

From my perspective, if that's true, then why not take another five minutes to do load the dishwasher? Then why not take ANOTHER ten minutes to make the bed when he gets up? And then another few minutes to wipe off the bathroom sink when he's getting ready? Because that's not his job. It's yours, as the keeper of the house. The only reason I asked my husband to do the trash was because my wrist had something medically wrong with it. But I digress, and agree to disagree if that is how you feel.

Yeah, well the same thing happened to me. Took my husband weeks to take out the trash. And the moment that he DID take it out, I thanked him profusely and happily. Ever since then, he has never had an issue taking it out within hours. Doesn't have to make sense to us, but it does to them.

Men want lovers, not competitors. And that's what a higher salary is to a man, a competition. You may not see it that way, because you don't think like that, but that is how he sees it. You're not going to get him to stop thinking about it because men see higher wages as a sign of higher value. It's what drives men. The higher your value, the higher you get paid, and he sees you as higher value than him now.

No, I'm not asking that. I'm asking what specific characteristics you are talking about that are non-traditional. I recently commented on a post in this sub where a woman was wanting reassurance that she wasn't failing as a traditional woman just because she had witty humor and didn't feel like a "girl next door". I was wondering if that was what you were referring to, or something similar. I'm just trying to better gauge what is traditional and what isn't.

Don't lose yourself in the process of becoming who you want to be. This should be a natural progression. Do you LIKE your witty humor? If you think being "girl next door" is boring, don't be. Adopt the traits you find attractive, and leave the ones you find to be wanting. Make it your own, because you are an individual, not an ideal.
/r/RedPillWomen20/04/18 11:32 AM

I, personally, would phrase it like so: "I'm having a great time talking with you, and I respect you, so I want to be frank with you (insert name here). If we continue to talk, I'd like this relationship to be serious. I'm really into you as a person, and I want to get to know you rather than ending this on a physical level." And end there. Short and sweet. You really don't want it to come off as a demand of commitment ("IF we continue to talk") and you want to be warm and gentle.
/r/RedPillWomen20/04/18 11:22 AM
4

Have you been making your intentions clear? Men are very direct people, they need to be told what you want. Expecting that they will just know that you want a serious and traditional relationship is not realistic. Before you agree to meet them, you need to be making it known that you do not want this to be a casual relationship, that you will not be a booty call, and that you are genuinely interested in them. You will likely get a few people who say they aren't interested anymore, but that's oka…

I just was more attracted to them. It wasn't a conscious thing, per se. But looking back, it was obvious that it showed I was paying more attention to physical desire than actual compatibility, and that's why I felt it was a relevant point. I think it's great that OP had more self awareness than I did, it could really help her ability to find someone. :)

I think it's a very telling statement about the position women are putting themselves in. To me it says "I know I'll probably suffer more for not allowing a man to help me, but I'd rather suffer than admit I need him." And that's a pretty powerful summary of where feminism is at right now. We are incapable of acknowledging that men are necessary to our well-being. We hate them. We beat them down until they feel completely useless and hate themselves. And then we make these types of statements, r…

When you meet the right man, you should not throw him away just because he is not tall. It's rare that the man you find yourself happiest with is also EVERYTHING that you want physically. Yes, there does need to be a level of physical attraction, but it's not everything. For most of my dating life, I exclusively dated guys over 6 feet tall (as a 4"11 woman lol). That was the trend alllll the way up until I met my husband, who is 5"8. He's pretty freaking handsome, but what pulled me in was who h…

Cheesy, but true. I knew he was the one before we even started dating. Back when i met him, i struggled with my weight, weighing in at a measly 80 lbs. Immediately after befriending each other, he started taking me out to eat every day, on his dime, and would sit with me for hours to make sure i ate, and would hold my hair for me if i ended up being sick. He did this for months, until i finally weighed about 110 and could hold food down. He was so generous with his time, money, and affection, i …
