Oh my god. No one said gender isn't a factor. Yes, it is a factor; more specifically a 'rating factor' in a multiplicative rating algorithm. That factor is chosen based on historical data. Depends where you are, what company, and other things; that factor can be higher for men OR higher for women. So again, sometimes women pay more and sometimes men pay more.
