1	What's the most appropriate way of stopping a girl walking if it looks like she has somewhere to be? I can see your point. It's only my experience. I've been hollered at out car windows, stopped and blatantly asked out, etc. It's off-putting. Atleast this seemed like he was a bit interested in more than just my looks. "excuse me, do we know each other?". I had to stop, look at him and wrack my brain for a moment. Ask about few restaurants /coffee shops/parks you visit. 3 is a good number. Play off the answers with quick sentences. You don't want to hold her up. Wrap up the convo with a "would you like to have coffee or drinks sometime?" give her your number and be on your way.
